So I decided to watch the BET award show last night. It was a very good show, they had a dedication to 25 years of hip hop with a handful of old schoolers like ; Doug E. Fresh, DJ melly mell , Public Enemy, Slick Rick, Sugarhill Gang, who all performed.

They also Had A dedication to ray charles, and barry white. And Danny Glover was given a humanitarian award for his work in the US, Africa, and the Carribbean for his work with HIV.

BUT, the highlight of the show ( and purpose of the thread) was when Rick James and.. Tia marie I think her name is, performed. They got done and just as you thought they were done, rick james ran back to the mic and said "Oh, and just in case you didnt know, I'M RICK JAMES, BITCH"

Holy shit, the whole crowd was laughing hysterically, as was I. I know there have to be quite a few chapelle show watchers here that saw that skit.

I saw Chappelle live the other night, and people were constantly yelling that, whenever he took a breath. It was so obnoxious.

I thought that was one of the greatest skits/sketches ever. Now I can barely stand hearing it anymore. Everyone says that shit now and it gets slightlyl annoying.

I will give you that though, it would be hilarious to see Rick James actually say it like that! I'll have to watch the replay. Just so I don't have to sit thru the whole craptastic fest, about how long into the show is Rick's performance??

Um.. it was like 4 hours long. Rick James was maybe half way in. Give or take a little bit.
