guilty pleasures-music you are embarrased for likeing

Post by Xzion »

everyone has a few bands/songs that deep down inside they are ashamed to admit that they enjoy listening to,
or that one song comes on the radio and your forced to roll up your windows and turn the volume down in hopes of hiding your embarassment

for me it would have to be the whole new regetone scene (shut the fuck up) for some odd reason, i cant help but jam out to that fucking puerto rican rap bullshit :?

Maria Carey - Her first CD. Say what you want but it's actually pretty good stuff. Too bad she finds the need to be a human dog-whistle in every fucking song she ever sings.

(If not every song it's surely damn close!)

I would actually list a lot of 80's songs as guilty pleasures.

Poison. Jesus, their songs are so cheesy and the hair so big, but I still want to bust out the lighter whenever I hear "Every Rose Has Its Thorn."

I was just driving back from lunch with my friend and some Maroon 5 song came on. I turned to him and said "I am embarassed to say it, but I kind of like this song."

He replied, "I'm not going to say if, when driving alone in my car, I like this song or not, but you really shouldn't admit that to other people.

Everyone sing this chorus with me:

SO CUM ON FEEL THE NOISE,

GIRLS ROCK YOUR BOYS

WE'LL GET WILD, WILD, WILD

WILD, WILD, WILD!!

SO CUM ON FEEL THE NOISE,

GIRLS ROCK YOU BOYS,

WE'LL GET WILD, WILD, WILD

UNTIL DAAAWWN!!

Thank you Quiet Riot!! I will pump this song EVERY TIME I hear it!

Brand New. I'm really not into emo much, but Brand New has some really good songs, like Sic Transit Gloria, The Quiet Things That No One Knows, and I Believe You But My Tommygun Dont.
