No vote from me....his posts has provided countless hours of entertainment from the amount of replies he gets to the shit he posts. This whole thread is a case in point...I love this thread. Without Cartalas, it wouldnt be possible.

You'll note that Kyoucan's sexually charged language actually has a point other than flaming. It is probably a tad overboard, but it gets the point she's trying to make across.

I don't think banning Cart is good, however. But, seriously, he needs to mature just a little bit and actually think what he's contributing (or detracting, as usual) before hitting submit. We all come here for entertainment, often through debate, and the peanut gallery could perhaps be a little quiter.

I think Cart is an idiot and I wholeheartedly agree that his posts contribute nothing to this forum. He never presents an issue for debate or any type of logical argument to support either side in a debate. As such he has been on my STFU and now my ignore list for a long time. However, I feel the same distaste as Kyo when people engage in quoting his inane bullshit.

I don't support a ban (he has the right to make himself look like a cretin as long as he doesn't violate the rules of the board) however I would like to ask people not to quote him, unless he actually says something worthy of answering... and a one-liner in support of Atokal's latest Kyo-stalk doesn't cut it. To be honest I feel for the posts of others here too: post what you are answering to, not the entire fucking discussion.

I've had him on ignore since he responded to me a little while ago with a totally unrelated one liner about kiddie porn. That stepped over the line for me. Some of the shit he has said to Kyo has made me feel bad for her. And kyo is one tough bitch.

There are many people here that I disagree with.
-Kylere I consider a friend, a bitter and jaded conservative friend.
-Midnyte has simple herd mentality views but he presents (dumb) arguments. One of the better contributers here.
-The PE dorfs are crude and spend too much time fixated on Kyo.
-Chmee is a very intelligent guy with extreme economic views.
-Xzion is the left's version of midnyte with terrible typing and grammar.
-Kyo does harp on the race card too much and some of her posts take cheap shots. (I do recognize the shit she puts up with here)
-Adex seems like a nice guy and intelligent but he has HUGE blinders on.
-Winnow has a very high noise to signal ratio but the noise isn't that bad and sometimes he will actually present an argument.
-I miss Krimson posting here. We need more intelligent righties.

If you suggested banning any of them I'd strongly disagree with it. They make the forum worthwhile. Even if you don't agree with their views having exposure to the views is a benefit.

Cart on the otherhand adds nothing. His noise to signal ratio is worst than Winnow's. His posts are mostly offensive unrelated drivel rarely exceeding one line. Removing his posts from this forum would improve it.

However, it's not. The position of the administration seems to be to allow anyone access and free reign to post their opinions, no matter how uninformed, unintelligent, or, in Cart's case, utterly unintelligible they may be.

Personally, I think the forum (hell, the board a a whole) would be better off without his diarrheal discourse but attempting to have him banned is a futile endeavor. Too many of the administrators are too fond of purporting, I use the term because they clearly had no issue with a heavy-handed and lopsided response to FF violations, themselves as pillars of benevolence to remove the posters that add nothing of value to any discussion. Others just don't want to endure lamenting cries of someone just deprived of their sole reason to live. So, the idiots are indulged.

Options are to ignore him, either literally or through selective reading, or to leave. One of the nice things about the Internet, I've learned, is that idiots are easily muted or avoided.

I am in agreement with Forthe, excluding his last paragraph. I see no reason to ban our mostly harmless (non)contributors. I do think we should discourage habitual thread derailing, but banning for such behaviour should not be our first recourse.

This forum is like the NBA JAM version of basketball. It's a current affair forum but juiced up a bit to keep you awake at work. My suggestion is that people learn to filter out the noise and focus on the signal. It's not that hard.

There are other boards if you want standard current affair chat.

I would be considered "right wing" by most of you. I am also not a person to just jump in and insult others. I value decency and respect. I do not have anyone on ignore nor will I probably in the near future.

Although I don't agree with most of what is posted here, I have no problem with it being posted. Yes, there is a ton of nonsense and general BS that gets posted. I can skip over that if I choose or read it, as I often do. I do my own censoring.

I think that is what everyone should do. I think the harmful effects of the slippery slope of sponsored censorship is not worth any of the benefits it could bring. Everyone has their right to say what they want. If they choose to exercise that right by posting some completely meaningless or innane comment, that is their right. I don't have to agree with it, nor do I have to read it if I don't wish to.

What I find very hard to accept is that people want to silence those with differing viewpoints or those they feel don't bring "acceptable" material to the great debate. That is such a subjective evaluation on what is "acceptable or meaningful". Why not concentrate on your own views and expressing them than worrying about someone else doing it for themselves.

I have to admit that Cartalass makes me laugh a bit. Now granted I do lean a bit to the right....although many times I play devils advocate just to counterbalance the People Liberal Front that refquents this board.

I don't doubt that Cartalas could post just as informative and intelligent a post as Midnyte, Atokal, or Xzion.....but he has found a way to push your buttons without even having to think.

I recall someone ninja adding an EQ patch list after I had posted it the next message. There's nothing you can do about post editors although the date/time stamps tell all!

If you upset 3 people does that mean you lose your posting rights? Maybe 10 is the magic number?.

I have been ripped for posting here, I responded, and I forgot about it. I don't see how having some person you barely know (if at all) posts some lame ass comment about your size, sexual preference, or life should bother anyone. If they troll it just shows they have no life and are not worth worrying about. I understand he has made a point of following Kyou on these boards and frankly that is pathetic, but banning him is the start of the famous "slippery slope".

Who is next on the ban list?? Just ignore his ass, if someone quotes him, stop reading the quote. Any kind of banning would go against the very beliefs many of you have. Imagine someone saying, Michael Moore films can only be shown in "Liberal" theatres.
