Okay, I'm looking for system backup software. The extent of backups I've made in the past have included taking any necessary data and transfering it to my 2nd harddrive or putting it onto a data CD to be replaced after I format/reinstall my operating system and software.
My parents have a computer that I seem to be formatting and restoring every 3-4 months. My 15 year old brother seems to think that it's cool to use every hackjob IM program, every P2P client and a host of spyware-driven Java games that renders the PC useless in days.
What I'm looking for is a program that I can install after loading the operating system and peripheral software that will allow me to make ISO backups of the entire system that will break the files into 650MB segments for easy burning onto CDs for restoration purposes.
I've estimated the total size of the data at ~1.5GB after installation of all the software/drivers/utilities/etc.
If there's a program like Norton Ghost (or even if you know if Ghost can do this) that will allow for a system restore, or even bootable, backup via CDRs that will segment the total backup into 650MB portions, please let me know. I'm not opposed to buying the software if necessary, but if you know of a free app that will do this, I'd really appreciate it.[/wave]
