I haven't powerleveled like some of you guys - to me it's still fun. But I have to admit that the XP grind is getting dull.

I still have fun creating new characters, though. Currently my claws scrapper is a riot, Dr. Freud (my controller) is great fun as well and Apocalipstik is all <3.

Peeps should think less of xp all the time and more of having fun with the friends, following a storyline etc

I had great fun doing taskforces, fighting archvillains etc...

xp, enhancements and such are just bonus!

Looking forward to trials where it involvs whole supergroup! :)

More Trials for the people!

I wish it was easier to get a decent group and I wish that I could do some damage (just a little) so that if I cant find a group, I can solo moderately well. I will keep playing (when I have time) because I think it is fun. . .but I really do wish controllers had a little more oomph.

I've been playing my Blaster occasionally, and my Scrapper a lot. I still have fun, but I play in short spurts, and my characters are only 25 and 9 respectively.
Oh, my God; I care so little, I almost passed out.

I still play a couple times a week with RL friends. Our characters aren't even 20 yet. We have loads of fun, even though those fucking noobs keep getting me killed!

I think I'm done with it...seemed like a pretty cool game, but I'm just finding that I don't have any time to play it. Too many things to get done around the house with a bambino on the way...think I'll be cancelling my account. I can't justify paying for a game I might play 3-4 times a month.

Played my blaster to level 9 and I'd swear I've seen damn near most of the content in the game. Cookie-cutter patches of mobs with or without powers. Overpowered mechs, monsters, supervillians etc. There's very little that keeps me wanting to log in at this point.

This game was amusing for a week. Beyond that it's not holding my attention at all.

I cancelled my account. I only have the time and money for one game at a time. Right now im busy doing WoW beta.

CoH is still a great game with a lot of potential. I just hope that their updates and expansions come out fast enough to compete.

Quy and I restarted as blasters, since two controllers cannot get groups and are hard pressed to kill even grey cons after a certain point. We play regularly, and will play more if controllers ever get unfucked. All I can say is they are going to have to seriously rebalance the ATs instead of giving blasters a free ride (in less than 4 hours played we are nearly caught up to our controllers, wtf?) or there won't be enough people left to do the content once they get it in.
War is an option whose time has passed. Peace is the only option for the future. At present we occupy a treacherous no-man's-land between peace and war, a time of growing fear that our military might has expanded beyond our capacity to control it and our political differences widened beyond our ability to bridge them. . . .

Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war.
--RICHARD M. NIXON, "REAL PEACE" (1983)

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, represents, in the final analysis, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children."

See above... as in, it's the same shit over and over and over and over. I had a chance to play a level 27 blaster with a few friends and although the fights were more coordinated and you had to be more focused than I did at level 9, it was the same shit.

If you want to have a ton of fun, take a friend (just one), roll scrappers, probably regen due to null downtime and risky playstyle, and duo. Just duo, any more than duo or if you add blasters and it will get really easy. Kill large packs of shit, you'll die a lot, unless you're both spines (and even then heh) and it's quite a blast.

2 Illusion controllers do well together also (FIGHT CLOCKWORKS), without being incredibly easy. Unless you both go Storm and gimp mobs with slow (but this is getting fixed)

2 blasters = PL to 40. Not that fun in all honesty.

The best part about the game is that it's fun when you're not steamrolling every mob, the fun lies in the risk, dying IS a pain in the ass imo, debt sucks. The worst part is that the risk seems to go down a lot as you level, get your slows and defenses, SOs for single-double shot kills.. etc. Which is why I recommend dual scrappers, you really can't afford to expose yourself to 8 mobs in melee range for more than a 10 seconds, it's kill or be killed.

I can't bring myself to do another kill 30 5th column/lost/warrior/freakshow/family/tsoo mission for 500 xp. I havent logged in in awhile.

fun combat engine and lots of good graphics, but not nearly enough content. you either do instanced missions or run around similar looking streets killing the same thing over and over again. I don't mind a game totally centered around killing things as long as its not the same 4 things in the same 3 mission/city templates over and over again. if all of the content is randomized then its just too impersonal for me to give a shit about it.

some of the zones were very well done and memorable though. especially dark astoria.

I'll never be able to be satisfied with my avatar in another mmorpg after this one though.

Task forces should be the first place they make some handcrafted content for. I think storming a well laid out and defended lair would be much more stimulating than just another random warehouse/sewer/ect.

If Task Forces were unique, challenging, and entertaining I'd probably still enjoy the game. Fact is, they are trivial, boring, repetetive, and carbon copies of every other dungeon mission in the game.

I'm probably done for good. Realistically, I don't see them doing anything that would compel my play.
