Is it worth coming back?

Well, you are level 34.

I would say no, but only on the assumption that you would like to be in the end game sometime soonish. It is all a wicked huge time sink.

Level to 65.

Get 100 AAs.

Get EP flags, time flag.

GoD trials.

It is a lot of work.

well im wondering is there a lot of people that came back or is the game lifeless and not as populated as it was 6 months or a year ago or has it attracted more players?

Most of the people here play(ed) at the high end game. A lot of them have since left Everquest and moved on. As a level 34 you'll probably find that there's a lot more to offer you in terms of really nice items being dirt cheap and many people playing alts up or newer players leveling around the 30-50 level. After that, you'll be basically soloing to 60/65 and from there you'll be limited to small-time, casual raid guilds or LDoN adventures for most of the rest of your time on EQ unless you can bang out 100+ AAs and get the elemental flags.

If you've got another year to put into the game and the drive to maximize your time online to getting experience groups, then yeah, come back. There's a TON of content for the 60-65 crowds now with relatively small numbers... Velious endgame with ~20, Luclin endgame ~20-40 (depending on gear/aas), LDoN (hards with good groups for pretty nice drops), low level PoP raids (30-50)...

I would say no. Based on your posting history, you need to focus your time on learning and doing something worthwhile, not on playing EQ. You're the same idiot that formatted your harddrive. Take a computer class instead.

See other poll here.. 60% of the people on this board don't even play EQ anymore. Not the likely crowd to be able to tell you whether you should go play again or not.

EQ is still fucking awesome! You'll want to buy a higher level account though so you can have more fun. I'd recommend picking up one of these:

Agdarr
Xanupox
Blaren

Any of these accounts will get you an immediate invite to one of the high level guilds.

Weren't you the one who told him to do that when he was asking a serious question about a pc problem he was having?

Shouldn't you be doing something more worthwhile than being an ass on a messageboard?

On topic: EQ is still fun, but it would be very hard to get caught up and see the end zones.

if you just wanna be a casual gamer then levels and AAs and flags mean nothing.

if you plan on being in the end game or somewhere in the middle enroute to the end game then it will just take you longer than someone who left at lvl 65 with a few dozen AAs.

it's still fun, still tons of people playing on Veesahn during peak hours. friendly, fun times can still be had by all.

If you're looking just to play for the fun of it, I'd say yes... come on back... purchase LDoN and have at it. =)

If you're looking to get into the end game, I'd suggest quitting your job, dumping your girlfriend, kicking the nearest puppy and refreshing your Mountain Dew IV, because you're in for one looooooooooooong haul. You've missed a LOT of content and its going to be damn near impossible to catch up without connections to people in the elemental-enabled guilds.

Either way, good luck =)

Heh, while we're on this subject.

I left with 15 AA and lvl 60 mid luclin.

I was a hardcore raider, and I "think" I still have a lot of online friends.

How much time would it take for me to get Adex back into full raiding shape?

A couple months of exp?

Just curious, I'm really in no position to take up such an addictive habit again.

By asshole, I think he means inability to pull one's head out of one's ass to make a clear, concise point.

I think by failure he means, inability to comprehend the asshole's unclear point.

I found it very sad and I hope whatever you do in life, is doomed to failure.

I agree he was a bit foolish with his actions, however he was trying to be a nice guy and help you out of a bad situation.

You took advantage of his generosity. Pyro was not a rich man with money to burn he was actually rather young, 18 or so. But he thought you were in a real tight spot and needed help.

It's people like you Dakamura who make the world have less nice people in it.

I'm a pretty tolerant person but all I can say is you should be damn glad noone knows where you live. Noone though that was cool or funny, and you made a lot of enemies for being an absolute dickwad.

You tried to play me for a sucker too.....luckily I assume all sob stories are scams the second someone asks for free hand outs. You got nothing from me except an hour of my time while i was trying to talk you down.

It's sad out of all the time you were in our guild the only real conversation I had with you was a total lie. Your a piece of shit.

I can only imagine what you look and act like in real life when you don't have the internet to hide behind. I've met people like you before....let's just say I was not impressed.

Although I think Pilsburry is like a turd that won't flush, he's dead on on this one.

I was irate for months in CT trying to get this prick booted. The final penalty faking being a 14 year old pregnant women needing money for an abortion and trying to steal real money from guildmates was one month w/out loot (after getting shitloads of loot from being a loot whore the month before) He ended up getting more loot a week later. What a fucknut.

I forgive Xtac though : )

Loot whore? I don't remember being a loot whore... I passed on many pieces of loot, so others could gain! Loot was not my objective, unlike so many others.

You make it seem like my goal was to gain money, how many times do I have to repeat myself? I never asked for money. You call me a liar, and worse! A thief! Yet you spread lies yourself! Reconsider your argument, get screenshots of me asking for money. You make me laugh with your false accusations.

My story to Winnow of being a 76 year old widow who weighed 575 lbs. and was bed ridden was shot to shit after his story. And all I asked of him was to come down to VA so he could change the channel on the TV... and change my diapers. That was even after the hardcore cyber I gave him.

Haha, I have to admit though, I've never seen anyone "wish death on someone I love." Somehow, it doesn't phase me. If anything it makes me laugh! Wanna know why? Because I could care less about anyone here. All you serve is to amuse me sometimes.

When you wish that someone Dakamura loves will die, then you are not wishing death on anyone human.

Dakamura only loves Dakamura
I wished death on someone Dakamura loves
