Fight Night 2004

Post by Siji »

I'm addicted.

Anyone have a PDF version of the game manual per chance? Not totally necessary, but I'm curious about some of the options during setup. (Body mass?)

I checked GameFAQs already and the only guide there pretty much sucks. Almost as badly as I do with the damn heavy bag in training. bah.

I absolutely love this game. I've gotten sick of the old button mashers, the old style is kinda nice with joysticks for control and punch styles.

Great game for sure. I just wish I could play my own tracks (on the xbox) instead of P-diddy and other related crap.

No kidding.. the number of songs for this game are painfully limited. I wonder if you could locate the songs in one of the directories and replace them.. Hrm.. might have to check into that. There's only what 12 songs max in this game? And even with random play on, it seems they all start and play in the same order.

I'm curious if the manual for the game says what stats like Agility are for. I'm guessing something like how much dmg you take from a hit or maybe how fast your fighter moves around..

And during boxer creation (in career mode) what's body mass for? You can choose, ripped to fat but dunno what mass would affect. and doesn't seem to change fighter's appearance.

Taken directly from the game manual:

Power: The force behind your punches.
Speed: How quickly a boxer can throw or elude punches
Agility: How quickly you can move around the ring
Stamina: The rate that the boxer loses and gains energy
Chin: How well a boxer handles punches to the head
Body: How well a boxer handles punches to the body
Heart: The ability to gain health and get up from a knockdown
Cuts: How easily a boxer bleeds, swells, or bruises.

With body mass it effects how huge the boxer looks, Like set it on muscular, and drop his body mass down to like 20% he'll look skinny... Then up it to 100% He'll look like he just got out of prison and didn't enjoy his stay.

This game is pretty fun. I'm taking Muhammad Ali and working the Featherweights. They don't stand a chance!

How do you do special punches? All I know are the normal punches and how to taunt.

Off the top of my head is R2 to do a special punch, you can modify it by holding L1. I'll check my manual when I'm not as lazy.
