Yup. I am glad I live in a small city. I also will refrain from going into big cities if I have a choice. Of course, in the last 6 weeks alone, I have spent time in Tampa and Baltimore. But, it was for work and I had no choice. There is a big difference from living your life in fear and living your life in a more aware state of mind.
I would rather err on the side of caution. Maybe 8 years ago before I had children, I would have felt the same way as you....fearless. But, I have since looked at life a little more differently.
I try to reduce risky situations for me and my family. It is my duty to do so. Maybe when you grow up, you will feel the same way. Maybe you won't.
For example, I often see people who don't buckle their kids into seat belts when driving....your current frame of mind reminds me of that. I have heard of the terrible things that could happen when you get into an accident. I chose to wear my seat belt and make sure my children are properly secured as well. Get it?

Actually with your frame of mind you shouldn't be driving, considering the chance of getting into an accident is pretty damn big compared to being killed or injured in a terrorist attack.
It has nothing to do with growing up. It has to do with actually living life and not letting every little thing scare you. I buckle up, but I wont change my vacation plans or any other plans. I will fly wherever I feel like whenever I feel llike it. I've logged so many airmiles it isn't funny, but I will never cancel a flight due to being scared of terrorism (or for an accident for that matter).
You have a better chance of having a seagull drop a rock on your head, which makes you fall down the stairs and break your neck in 4 places than of ever getting into anything remotely close to a terrorist attack.

I discuss things like an adult as long as it's a fucking adult I'm discussing things with. You so don't fit into that category, and neither does your stupid boyfriend Atokal.Midnyte_Ragebringer wrote:Cart,

My first rule of internet messageboard posting is to not take things seriously from people who don't deserve to have their opinions heard. The only reason you flap your yap here is because nobody even fucking listens to you in reality. I can just imagine you standing around with a group of your "peers" (and I quote that because your actual intellectual and social peers are still in grade 8 for the most part) and shooting your fucking mouth off like a dumbass like how you do it here. You'd lose your job within an hour (well maybe not your pizza job since you are expected to be an idiot if you are over the age of 24 and still delivering pizza) and you'd probably be locked up.

You really are too cute. I've told you numerous times I am 31 years old. I delivered pizza because a responsible person works as many jobs as necessary to provide for their family. As for my peers, most of them don't care about politics either way. I have a couple ultra liberal friends and a few way wacked out to the right friends. I really don't have time to socialize much with working so many hours and spending the rest of the time with my family...so I come here to do my political talking. Write this down somewhere, so I don't have to keep repeating myself. You misrepresent me so often it's ridiculous.kyoukan wrote:I discuss things like an adult as long as it's a fucking adult I'm discussing things with.
