First Guilds on Veeshan.
Ok this Might be a tough question but does anyone remember who were the first guilds on Veeshan ?..
Lets see how many of them people can come up with.. call it a test of the old schoolers.

Outriders of Karana was the first guild created in Everquest ~
(after it went live that is)
Fire of The Heavens (was later re-created as Fires of Heaven), Aradani, Travelers of Norrath, The Companions, The Unforgiven, Da Troll Patroll etc... were all created at or near release. Lots of others that I can't remember offhand.

Gatekeepers of Norrath MIGHT have been in the first hundred.
Akaran of Mistmoore, formerly Akaran of Veeshan
I know I'm good at what I do, but I know I'm not the best.
But I guess that on the other hand, I could be like the rest.

Wow hehe lots of real old farts here hehehe.
Great to hear lots of people still remember the humble beginnings of Veeshan
.
I remember a lot of those guilds..it is very sad to witness an old guild disband and become only a memory.
My brother was in the original The wreckinmg crew.. which later the guild leader disbanded and then the guild was remade as wrecking crew without "the".
Wow.. lots of flashbacks come to mind at this time.
Hiya Gemily btw hehe.. and yes i do realise Rage was in at least the top first 50.. just can't recall how old exactly.. only know it was created in mid 1999.
Anyhow.. Glad to hear people have such good memory, you all pass the test hehehe.

The Elite Force was created within the first 6 months of Eq going live.
Today TEF remains the family oriented guild it always was, with far more raiding going on bi-weekly.
With membership well over 400 including alts....we are still as strong, if not stronger than we have ever been....and still having a great fun time.
This is quite an interesting post....and brings back many memories.
/waving to all those I know posting here.

I know it wasn't Dantrin, but which wizard was the one who bound himself in the FG firepot room and forgot about it.... until we got stuck in a fear repop wipeout and he bind looped about a dozen times?
War is an option whose time has passed. Peace is the only option for the future. At present we occupy a treacherous no-man's-land between peace and war, a time of growing fear that our military might has expanded beyond our capacity to control it and our political differences widened beyond our ability to bridge them. . . .
Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war.
--RICHARD M. NIXON, "REAL PEACE" (1983)
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, represents, in the final analysis, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children."
Dwight Eisenhower

It really is good to see so many older players are still in the game.
I've seen people come and go and it made me wonder for the longest time just how many old schoolers were left.
I myself got hooked watching my brother play his shaman Bigotes on the first year EQ was released and i got hooked.
To be honest i miss the feeling of those old days.. sure its great for everyone to get into higher grownds of the game but it is only a short time before people start getting bored and eventually leave.
The old days seemed to be so much more simplistic, people always had time for a chat and most importantly Gms actually gave a damn about players and interacted with them a whole lot more.
Anyway its great to see that so many people stuck it through and havent left the game in all it's frustration

speaking of good ole zeddic and old times,
I remember Outriders were doing a CR in fearplane, we were dragging and rezzing etc, trying to get a few people level 46 back.
Then Cazic Thule spawns in the middle of the process. What we didnt realize ( not that we even knew he was Due to spawn ) was that respawns the entire zone.
I just remember seeing Cazic's emote, then a few seconds later about 50 mobs coming at us over the hill. Thank you, planar mob aggro range.
Nothing beats the old days.

Was about 12th I think, something like that. A lot of good people where in that guild, Order of teh Black Dragon was better!
