Worst songs of all time

Post by Drolgin Steingrinder »

http://www.blender.com/articles/article_786.html

Only #50 to #41 are listed on the site, for the rest you'd need to buy the magazine - but here's the top 10:

1: »We Built This City« - Starship

2: »Achy Breaky Heart« - Billy Ray Cyrus

3: »Everybody Have Some Fun Tonight« - Wang Chung

4: »Rollin'« - Limpbizkit

5: »Ice Ice Baby« - Vanilla Ice

6: »The Heart Of Rock'n'Roll« - Huey Lewis & The News

7: »Don't Worry Be Happy« - Bobby McFerrin

8: »Party All The Time« - Eddie Murphy

9: »American Life« - Madonna

10: »Ebony And Ivory« - Paul Mccartney & Stevie Wonder

Other songs on the list:
Toby Keith's "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue" (No. 22);
Whitney Houston's "Greatest Love of All" (No. 30);
Ricky Martin's "She Bangs" (No. 39);
The Doors' "The End";
Aqua's "Barbie Girl";
R.E.M.'s "Shiny Happy People" and
John Mayer's "Your body is a Wonderland"

I wonder what place William Hung would come in at...

that list sounds like it was written by some jackass hack that put songs in list based on how cool he thinks he is.

can't argue with some of them though.

Most of them seem to be radio hits that were played a little too much.

There are some songs in there that are great. And there is plenty of TRASH in there...but not bad enough to be considered the worst songs ever.

Ok, those songs DEFINATELY DON'T BELONG on this list. Whoever wrote that thing is a douche. Some of them are definately right, especially that fucking Clay Aiken shit, that fucking song sounds like hes stalking some girl(or guy), snuck into her house, and is hiding somewhere in her room watching her undress...

Ermmmm I can think of at least 2 really good songs that are very "stalkish"

"Every Breath You Take" - The Police
"All Her Favourite Fruit" - Camper Van Beethoven

So while the song may be crap...the theme isn't necessarily...:)

Dude: "I would do anything for love" is one of the crappiest, most overproduced, pathos-soaked pieces of shit that's ever been recorded. It most certainly belongs on the list. And John Mayer's song does too, if for no other reason than having such craptacular lyrics.

I don't get lists like this. A lot of songs I like, I enjoy because they usually remind me of a specific time, place or person. There are some songs which I hated at first, but now I associate them with things I have good memories of. I guess there are some extreme cases like Celine Dion's song there which reminds me of the having to sit through Titanic with my girlfriend at the time... but then, thats a negative memory heh. I actually hated that Breakfast at Tiffany's song, but I don't mind hearing it now because it reminds me of when I was like 6 yearsold and having a blast instead of worrying about when my next bill is coming in and if I have the money to pay for it.

this list was on VH1 couple days ago, George Lopez hosted. It was called 50 most awesomely bad songs ever and he explained why each one got on the list. Some for cheezy lyrics, melody, etc.

I only know if they made a CD of this list I'd buy it, lotta great songs there, bringing back good memories. Who cares if the lyrics sucked.

Ketchup song was in a sub list listing worst latino songs or something like that along Macarena and Ricky Martin stuff

People that make up worst of lists are just jealous they didn't write the songs and make tons of money off them.
I'll be honest with you, I love his music, I do, I'm a Michael Bolton fan. For my money, it doesn't get any better than when he sings "When a Man Loves a Woman".
