I've seen it used for pulls. What's the ratio of times you get singles vs. all the mobs and is the scrapper/tanker power exactly the same?
Does anyone know or have a link to a post that compares & explains the two?

From what I have seen, you cannot accuratley predict how many mobs you will get on a pull. What seems to help the most, though, is maximizing distance, as sometimes this makes a difference as to whether others will pile on: the closer you fight to the gang, the more likely they will want to help.
But sometimes, there is nothing you can do, as they might be as linked as the network of weeds in my backyard.
One trick to pass on, though (which helps in general, but not exactly on point): when you taunt to pull, quick hide behind something so that he can't attack you at range because his view is blocked. It makes him move towards you until he can get another line of shot. It is, of course, best if others in your team dont take the agro from you until he finds you behind the obstacle, but what can you ever do about your trigger happy groupmates.

As far as I know it is the same. They sound different I know (the tankers sounds a lot like Geoffrey Holder). I have no good link or info to offer comparing or contrasting the two: sorry.

That's interesting. I know that my tanker taunt never seems to fail, so maybe that is the difference. I wonder if can you enhance accuracy in scrapper taunt, but not tanker taunt.
Edit: according to Lil Pip's tool, you can enhance them the same ways: Range, Taunt Duration, and Reduce Recharge Time.
BTW, I always enhance range first, then reduce recharge time. Range for pulling effect, recharge time for quicker taunts. De facto duration has worked out thus far for me (scrappers and blasters who have a hard on for agro, aside). Time will tell, though.
