EDIT: Oh yes, I didn't think that this news story was worth commenting on. I try to mentally block out all of the bizarre (from my point of view) beliefs oozing out of suburban and rural churches.

Sorry Pherr, but I find this story hilarious.
Any practicing Christian will affirm that Christ's suffering, death, and resurrection for our sake is the true story of Easter. I feel bad that some 4 year old children were upset by the crude methods used in this "play", but the message they were trying to convey is real and valid.
The Easter Bunny is a merely a cute diversion to the reason Christians celebrate this season.
I'd like to know if the parents that acted so upset by this situation are committed Christians... or the kind that show up for weddings, funerals, Christmas, and Easter and then proclaim they are strongly religious?
Happy Easter everyone here on VV. There is hope for you all! The message of Easter is redemption!

Only the Jesus Crispies could take a movie and transform it into beating the crap out of a guy in a rabit suit in front of upset children. You crispies who mock islamic, wiccan, and bhudist beliefs as being whacky really make me laugh my ass off with shit like this going on.
War is an option whose time has passed. Peace is the only option for the future. At present we occupy a treacherous no-man's-land between peace and war, a time of growing fear that our military might has expanded beyond our capacity to control it and our political differences widened beyond our ability to bridge them. . . .
Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war.
--RICHARD M. NIXON, "REAL PEACE" (1983)
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, represents, in the final analysis, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children."
Dwight Eisenhower

I went to see the Passion of Christ and was very disapointed. I was told it was a porn flick dipicting the last 12 hours of Jesus' life. However, there was no Judas/Jesus facial shot scean, just some kissing. There was no 3-way with Jesus, Peter and some whore. And there sure as fuck was no 13 man ass-action packed orgy. This movie was a big disapontment to me and I cannot recomend it to anyone.
