Lords of the Realm III

F. You. Sierra.

This game is crap. This game is the crap that crap craps.
Combat animations are crap EXP when you are storming a castle.
Troop movements are slower than hell.
Sieging a castle is now just.. pathetic.
The game is no longer turn based. It is now a simplied-yet-crappy RTS in which all of your armies move across the map at the same time, and can enter battles independantly of the player's input.
You are notified when a battle starts, but you don't seem to have a button to click to go to it.
You can have multiple armies batling under AI controll while you are fighting a single fight - and the AI is ass, so this is not recommended.
You cannot claim territory while an enemy army is in the region, regardless if the territory in question is that of the capital or if that army had moved into the region while you were managing the conquest fight.
There is no economy to micomanage. You simply assign "vassals" to a territory and thye do one of 4 things - bourgers generate cash, serfs generate food, priests generate Christianity, and Knights generate soliders (this is how you raise armies - you drop your Knigts down on territory and wait) that are pre-determined by the Knight.

Utterly disgusted with this. It's a travesty compared to LotRII.

You expect anything good out of sierra these days?

Hell, half-life wasn't even theirs. I can't think of a good Sierra game since Space Quest 3.... except MAYBE Phantasmagoria.. but that was a real letdown by the 6th disc.

I am very careful when buying Sierra games and if I am in the least unsure I won't buy it all. Anyone remember Outpost? Sierra is the suck!

wasn't it released as a 29.99 game? I would figure that would have given you a good hint as to it sucking :)
