Question of the day
Consider the following hypothetical: You're an unguilded, regular player with good loot but nothing special. You are attempting to join a high end raiding guild, but you know that you have to set yourself apart from the other applicants, of which there are many. How do you do so, and what will you tell the guild about yourself and what you will bring to that organization?

Sorry Orthank, I should have specified. This is not a real life scenario, I don't play EQ on Veeshan anymore. I was just curious as to what everyone's ideas on selling yourself in the best possible way was. So far, we have 2 or 3 votes for cyber. It's not looking good for men, but very good for manginas.
My name is Sparty. I enjoy long walks on the beach, chubby girls, go-carts, pizza, and jogging. My best friends name is Little Rico. Hes taught me a lot about life. We acually hung out just last night. It was me, Little Rico, and my new friend Jesus. I met Jesus on the internet at thuglife.com. Jesus is mexican and his name is pronounced Hey Zues. Like the Wrestler that faught Hulk Hogan in the movie "No Holds Barred". Zues isnt the real name of the guy in that movie. His real name is actually Tom Lister Jr. His acual nickname in real life is Tiny Lister jr. I guess cause he is so big that they figured they would nickname him the oposite of what he actually was. His dads name is also Tom Lister. Crazy stuff.
Its spring break right now, so we had no problem picking up a couple girls, after putting pills in there drinks. The girls didnt believe that Jesus's name was actually Jesus, so he showed then his ID. He was like, my name is JESUS. Now suck ma dick ho's. I thought it was messed up that he would use his name just to get some ho's to suck his dick. But i sucked it anyway.
What Can i bring to your guild? Nothing!
Except for good stuff and morals.
My name is Sparty
(I actully am playing again and loooking for a guild =)

Setting yourself apart is easy.
If you are a buffer, give buffs on first tell, you'd be surprised how many lazy buffers there are. As a buffer, there is no faster way to make friends, than giving buffs fast. If somebody dies, buff them when they pop, dont wait for them to ask (unless there is a reason to stack buffs).
When you get put in a crappy group, still do your job like you have a cleric (when you dont). Don't hide behind the, I don't have a healer bit.
Show up on time, don't complain about deaths, loot, or how long it takes the other 50 people from the guild to show up. Don't wait for the 50 to get there before you start heading that way.
Dont spam the raid channels with stupid stuff.
The 5th time you die clearing yard trash, loot your corpse, ask for buffs (which you may or may not even get being a recruit) and prepare to die again, do it religiously. Anybody that can take multiple deaths without complaint will almost always get in a guild.
If you do these things, and they dont already have 5 more of your class than they need/want, you will get in any guild, even if your kit sucks. The amount of eq rot going around makes current kit pretty meaningless in most cases.
