I saw that today, too. I had feared such, when he disappeared a couple of months back. He had attempted suicide before.

He will indeed be missed.

he was truly one of america's greatest writers and speakers. the first time I saw him was the monologue he wrote and performed for the movie drunks (which everyone should see if only for his part). then a friend of mine gave me some of his other materials and I've been a fan ever since. it's a shame that he was so messed up, but I think anyone with the ability to look into themselves as deeply as he could would eventually get pretty suicidal.

who moderates this forum? could someone delete sirton's stupid fucking post, as it isn't even worthy of someone like him?
