Honestly, I would normally buy stereo equipment other than Bose...they sound fantastic, but are overpriced. 50% discount makes a big difference though!! :P

When size and price are not a huge factor, you may want to consider Onkyo.

I picked this up slightly used over ebay (insert three year old joke here) for a pretty nice price. ($650 +40 S&H)

Only company I know of with the ability to network the receiver to your computer.

It is possible to get lost on the back of it though.

Krurk, Ive got a friend that has me doing some research on that reciever atm... Was wondeirng, do you sacrifice the 7.1 channel to do multi source multizone powered? Also, does it have the ability to power 7ch's and have a pre-amp output for the second zone, the information on the site is not consistent with what Onkoyo has told me over the phone.... also, is it RF compatable for the second zone? All in all, I really like how the nettune feature sounds... seems pretty cool.

1) Yes, you must do 5.1 to use multizone, but I don't have multi setup because the unit is centrally located in the apartment.

2) If you use the surround pre-out you can, but only in 5.1.

3) As for the second zone, it can utilize multiple inputs (like TV in home zone, DVD in 2nd zone). I have heard that only analog inputs work in the 2nd zone, but because I do not have it setup I can not verify.

Nice ghettoblaster Psy

Ikea.

That's it. Go there, get everything.

Get home, and spend the next 8 hours putting it all together.

These prices are actually reasonable for what you will need it for. Good Luck!
