LucasArts makes us cry.
March 03, 2004 - Sad news for adventure fans today: LucasArts has decided to stop production of the upcoming adventure title Sam and Max: Freelance Police.
Mike Nelson, acting general manager and VP of finance and operations at LucasArts explains it this way:
"After careful evaluation of current market place realities and underlying economic considerations, we've decided that this was not the appropriate time to launch a graphic adventure on the PC."
No jobs will be eliminated as a result of this decision. We'll have more information as soon as it becomes available.

When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. Figured that since this thread revolved around the death of a sequel to Sam and Max, I'd toss this update here:
http://www.telltalegames.com/samandmax
Telltale Games has taken over the Sam and Max and are releasing it in what appears to be the current "episode" trend from the Half-Life/Sin people.
I'm hoping they dont mess up.
edit: this might actually be old, news but i didn't see anyone discussing it and search came up with nothing so far.
