Games you recently beat

Post by Dups. »

So, which games have you recently beaten without cheats, codes or walkthroughs?

What difficulty level was the game set on (if available)?

How difficult do you think it was?

Approximitly how long did it take you to beat?

Was it worth it?

Did it have a cool ending? (yes or no - try not to do a spoiler)

Would you beat it again?

Which game(s) are you currently trying to finish?

Recently beat:

Knights of the Old Republic - light side campaign (beat the dark side campaign 2 months ago.)

No cheats, codes or walkthroughs... Although I did have a preexisting knowledge of the game since I beat it once before.

Default difficulty.

Not terribly difficult of a game.

Took me the better part of the last month or so, playing a couple hours at a time.

Definately worth it.

The ending was.... bleh. It was short. However, the storyline leading to that ending was excellent.

I'd play it again... but not in the next 6-12 months.

Currently trying to finish: Baldur's Gate 2, Final Fantasy 6 (snes), C&C Generals mod campaigns, Everquest.

FFX2 - Worth it, imo. The ending was ok, but not great.. I will beat it again with a full spoiler for the best ending. Took about a month(ish).

Ghost Master - Two days, had to use spoilers. Some of the scripts were too buggy to work around without knowing the EXACT RIGHT BLOODY WAY to do somthing.. but fun enough to replay again, eventually. Ending was cute, but if they don't give me an expansion pack soon I'm going to rip some nuts off.

Rise of Nations - Ending? You get a paragraph and a half of text telling you you conqured the world. Beat it on medium dif, have beaten it on easy before. I truly enjoy playing this.. took about a weekend. (14hrs, I think, total; and I wasn't rushing around) No spoiler needed.

Currently trying to finish:
Castlevania: Lament of Innocence. Just been too lazy to finish it off.
Spy Hunter 2: More of Spy Hunter 1. Probably won't beat it before i have to take it back to blockbuster.
Dungeon Siege: Just a reply on medium difficulty. Need to get my fantasy fix in somehow since I no longer play EQ..
Planetside: Just trying to pass Kilmoll in outfit points.

Chrono Trigger
No difficulty setting
Not too hard, but fun
Took about 15 hrs, worth it
Ending for Chrono Trigger is a hard thing to discuss without spoilers :)

Final Fantasy Tactics
No difficulty setting
Wasn't very hard this time, I've played through it twice before. Elmdor steals went much easier this time, was insane, I spent 10+ hours on that fight the first time through
Not sure how long it took

I'm not that far ahead of you. You'll just have to play 8+hours more a day for a month or 2.

I took most of the weekend off while house-hunting and meeting with real estate jokers.

Your window of oppurtunity is now closed!

I, however, will catch Poppa in OF points!

I'm under pressure at WVUp for a mess of projects and some personal things right now. Trying to quit putting things off to the last minute, and it's killing my free time. ><

Kingdom Hearts on Expert, and it was pretty hard in parts, but most of the end was cake. Took me like 30something hours total to beat it, but I took the time to find all the dalmations and searched around for secrets and stuff. And the ending was pretty damn cool, but it doesn't really seem complete (and Kingdom Hearts 2 is gonna be GBA only ><, I played first on PS2 and dont have the cash atm for a GBA).

Also beat Devil May Cry on Normal (have to beat it once to go to hard mode, playing it on hard atm), only took like 7 hours but was a damn fun game and pretty damn hard, I had to retry some of the bosses like 3 or 4 times. Ending was cool, coulda been better, I want to play Devil May Cry 2 really bad now.

Last game I've beaten lately is Bauldur's Gate : Dark Alliance. Did it on normal or something, whatever the default is, and started it again in the hardest mode after I opened it up by beating the game, but got bored with it. Was pretty easy, but lots of fun to play with a friend. Think it took me 10 hours or something. The ending just pretty much led up to the 2nd one.

DMC2 is fun, but nowhere near as good as DMC1, imo.
Edit: The end cinematic is the OWN tho.

I just recently beat the story mode of Tony Hawk Underground on Normal setting. The ending is not bad I am trying to beat in on "sick" difficulty. It's just that... sick!! Has anyone here beaten THUG on sick difficulty?

I beat Need for Speed Unground on medium difficulty with the same car through out the entire game , Honda Civic. It was difficult at the end. I was tempted to dumb it down to easy for a couple of races but I did not. The ending was pretty damn lame. I didn't get to fuck the girl at the end, alas!

I still can't beat Eric's line or whatever that last (I'm assuming) level is. I get like 35 of the checkpoint things and run out of time. It's a real bitch.

Prince of Persia took about 6 hours on normal. Was very cool.

Devil May Cry on Dante Must Die mode, took 6 hours. Always a pleasure in slaughtering fiends, played it 15 times now.

Halo (again as well) took 12 hours.

Super Mario Advance 2. Took 4 hours with all of the secret levels and worlds unlocked.

Currently working on Sphynx and the Cursed Mummy and it's actually pretty fun to play so will get back to you on it.
