Didn't know this would be such a hard decision. I may just have to get both though.

Also going to consider getting Painkiller.

I know I'm good at what I do, but I know I'm not the best.
But I guess that on the other hand, I could be like the rest.

I've never played the Battlefield games. Can someone list, in order, the main game and it's expansions? Hows's online gameplay work? Is it like EQ where you buy the main game and can go to whatever expansions you buy? Do you have one character or is it like an FPS where you die a bunch and just restart?

I believe Battlefield 1942 was the original, with the expansions Road to Rome and one other one that I'm not familiar with. Then there are user-made mods.

It's a straight FPS, no character development, when you die you respawn at a certain point like x seconds later. The hook is that each level is (for the most part) a simulation of a battle that occurred in WWII. If you don't have an expansion, you can't play those maps that are part of that expansion.

The onslaught mode of UT2k4 demo is so fucking fun, I can't believe it. Battlefield:Vietnam was my early favorite, but now I'm prolly gonna have to get both.

Is there a playable demo for BF:V?

UT2004 first... might pick up Vietnam later... but 1942/DC is still so fun, I don't know if I'll bother with Vietnam.

I suck at twitch games so I won't be buying either one. I will be buying Doom 3 for the storyline though.

UT2k4 is a lot less twitch than previous iterations. I think it's the big, outdoor maps.
