Feudal Lords, Shortae's brother, Hova formed it, when he didn't have time anymore I took over as GL.
I remember "raiding" the DE guards in Nek forest for fun. When the, what was it, captain or something, got pulled we'd get wiped or zone. We were taking guild screenshots on the bridge and people kept getting attacked by fish and then the captain or dragoon or whatever attacked us again.

Yes it was! I remember back when I was playing -- Crip, Kailo, Lelluvyn, Kalaran, Koraf, Zamtil, Raganork(even though he was in Companions at the time), Tree, Nino, ... what was the druid's name....Klepto, Senir(Bartab..or Barfat as Kartak called him), Narciss.miir wrote:First guild was FOH.. joined when I was level 25.
Myrlynn, Kalaran, Kailo, Kadail, Klague, Zamtil, Nunnehi, Crip... man that was a long fucking time ago.
And then back in the day when Stiletto of the Bloodclaw ruled, I beat Krimson in a 1on1 Duel in Cazic-Thule. Everytime I saw him after that it was "You're still the only person that beat me except for Kartak"
Lets not forget Ulik either. he never guilded with FOH until later on, but he always played with us when we were the only ones in Guk..back in July of 1998! woohoo!

Guardians of Veeshan. About level 10 or so a few weeks after release. As Drolgin says those were the days. We owned Runnyeye farming BIBS for all our members. Guild raid to CR 2 friends that fell down the well in Befallen at level 15ish. All the guild exp groups in SolB when everything was red con. Guildleader taking Daender and i to LGuk Frienzied camp when we were in our late 30s to show us around. OMG it was scary.
I have a longing for those days. GoV is still one of the best guils around for the "people" in it.
After GoV it was OG (didnt everyone ride that bike?) then after quitting a short stint in our exOG friends guild Vinculum Invictus before Legion. A guild i always wanted to be in from back in the days when my friend Dremus joined. /wave Melphys
Take care.

Silver Dragons as well.
I still remember getting invited by Dionysus (sp) and then being taking to Unrest at lvl 12 where i met some of the rest of the guild who proceeded to train the hell out of the zone.
One of the best times was with Xou (prior to his ranger conversion) with mali in Lake Rathe killing birdies.
Eend, Mathgen, and all rest. Those were fun times.
Now a Guardian of Veeshan. Amazing the people and the friends you meet.

Same thing. The Companions was changed to Companions after the word "The" was causing the guild to be disbanded due to a bug, way back in the day. Tosari was the original guild leader and just quit EQ about 2-3 months ago.remember I hunted with Vamdar a lot, and went to The Companions with him shortly after. (READ: THE Companions not Companions)
LONG ass time ago.. Damn. I have a shit ton of *old* screenshots on my other computer (processor died tho TT) The druid you talkin' bout Klauge?Nunnehi wrote:Yes it was! I joined FoH in phase 4 beta. I still remember when I got guilded, we were killing mino's on live side guk. Kal, Nino (the halfling cleric), Mystique, Karg and I think Tabin were there. I was like level 27 or somshit. hah! Only guild I was ever in.
EGGY!!!! (Merciless Justice!
good times, good times.
my old main was a pally and I was in full silver plate and soooooo shiny, it was all about being shiny.
Merciless Justice was my first guild too. Aye, good times. Fun times. Drama filled times. My old main was a warrior named Barelani, now retired.

First guild was Crimson Guard. Was their first non original member, met them at the Derv camps. Early on, as Ogbar stated, pretty much everyone except me had been in Kablooie! As I use to play RA as well every so often we would have to log off and blow the crap out of each other with Rocket launchers.
Crimson Guard eventually merged with the reformed Obsidian Overlords to become Obsidian Guard... think my characters are still there except for a couple in the full party Fluffy Bunnies Guild. However all my account have been closed for sometime now so who knows if my characters are there or not anymore.
Marb
PS - I haven't seen anyone mention The Oracle, that was a pretty good guild early on I would think at least one person would have been in there first... Winnow, what about you?

I was on my first char, a high elf enchanter, running around Felwithe when (I think) Totalzen randomly tagged me for a guild. First guild experience in a new game was cool. Range was like lvl1-12. Name was something revolving around Faydwar. I rerolled and started a barbarian shaman, and journey'd to Faydwar to lvl with my friends in guild. We wanted to change name later, and remade guild with Calistaah, Pyrotech, Totalzen, and Auth. Named it "Brothers in Alliance" I dropped about two months later, after Calistaah and Pyrotech got married in Erudin. Was a great guild and lots of fun. I remember looting all the fine steel I could from Spires in SK so that Cali and I could buy Pyrotech his Robe of the Oracle. Fun fun~

I was in The Sons of Steel! for the my first guild. The first "raid" I ever went to was Splitpaw. The most memorable times in SoS were all in Kedge Keep. We lived in that place. I learned most of the important dungeon/group tactics in that dungeon. Kedge was the coolest dungeon pre-kunark =). I know that dungeon like the back of my hand.

Joined Crusaders of Virtue at level 20. Guild broke up to form CT so a group of 4 of us decided to make a guild and they made me the leader. Knights of Force.
So leader of Knights of Force for about 3 years then I stepped down when I graduated college. KoF disbanded and Elfwind retired guildless.

I'm not sure...I think my first guilding was Elven Dominion at like level 12 or so...Then...um...I think it was called Bandits, at level 40 or so - Diae's guild...Then OG...then a waffling unguilded period after a nasty bit of "teh OG drama" during which I didn't know where I wanted to go, as all my friends were now sundered between OG, a very newly formed Ixtlan, Legion, CT and FoH...then retirement at 58.
If I had stayed in the game with any regularity back then, I probably would have gone with Ixtlan. I remember Xyun and Brax starting it and trying to pull me in. I was just too indecisive and disenchanted with the game at the time to really commit to anything. A few months later, during a brief return to the game, I got to see how they had progressed as a guild at a VS raid, and I was impressed with their togetherness.
It's funny, too, that now that Ixtlan and Legion merged into Sovereign, and CT & OG are pretty much dried up (from what I can tell), the lion's share of my sundered friends are all in the same guild again. I have no doubt about where I would seek to eventually make a home if I were to return again, though that won't happen. (They've all developed so far past my old toon now, anyway)
Been retired for over 2 years now. Still miss it from time to time, but I'm a hell of a lot more productive without it. Maybe when EQ2 rolls out...

I can't even remember the name of first guild I joined, as a level ~7 rogue. When I found out the guild leader wanted to make it an all rogue guild (
), I left.
Joined Lost Children of the Xenocide not long after (spring/summer of 1999 seems like a damn long time ago), guild full of 10s/low-teens newbies. Guild was always pretty small, but lots of good people; looking back I think we just never did a whole heck of a lot together, some people got bored or moved on. Guess it lasted for a year or so before drama and attrition took its toll.
Took a break, but was soon drawn back by reading tales of adventuring by a crazy dwarf named Meanmax (who I'd known from LCX). Joined up with old-school OtB not much later; that managed to last I think 2-3 weeks before everyone there more or less stopped playing for various reasons.
What a different game we play now 2-3 years later.

Joined Teutonic Knights in EQ under the leadership of Aethelstan (a cross game guild known as the HCD on the Great Lakes server of UO) wayyy back in Sept of 99 as a wood elf bard.
Was a member of the original Veeshan Alliance consisting of Guff of Souls, Sons of Steel, Order of the Wurm (I think), Lost Order of Akalabeth and Swords of the Clan.
Mostly avg lvl was 30-45, finally died out and got absorbed into LOA, Blue Cloak, or Dread Templar back in late 2001.
