Ray Harryhausen is probably the best stop motion animators of all time, back when it was being used heavily in the 50s, 60s & 70s. He is responsible for the animations of Mighty Joe Young, Earth vs. the Flying Saucers, most of the Sinbad movies, Clash of the Titans etc. He pioneered a lot of special effects on film that were still being used up until it was replaced with CGI animation.

The skeletons were a parody of his famous skeleton scene from The Sevth Voyage of Sinbad.

I have no idea where the Skeletor thing came from. Probably hard to find stock footage of a singing skeleton for a shitty flash movie.
