Ok, things are back to normal again. We have now enabled the ability to turn avatars and signatures off from the profile page in the upper left hand corner, beneath the banner.

This doesn't mean go full on to NWS, but the ones that were bordlerline will be fine since people will be able to disable them. Understand that the board *IS* meant to be as work safe as possible, though it varies from place to place. Everyone here does a pretty good job about policing themselves, and we thank everyone for working with us until we were able to implement a solution like this.

We will also be re-enabling offsite linking....again, as with the NWS'ness, use some decency and sense and don't link HUGE files, not everyone is on the super speedy connection, but still likes to see a face (avatar) with the name.
