Now we are not allowed to honor A students! Some people need to get a life!

That is totally ridiculous. I actually had to search around that site to make sure I wasn't being tricked by some satirical news site.

Who ever heard of the Honor Roll students making fun of people with lesser grades? It seems to me that the Honor Roll would be a small subset of the student body anyway, and that they wouldn't really be in the position to make fun of other kids.

What ever happened to the parents of D students getting the bumper stickers, "My kid beat up your honor student."

At my school, the honor students were the persecuted ones. IMO, any student who gives enough of a shit to do well in school should be commended. The ones that fail do so because they could care less about school. A wild african chimpanzee could pass high school these days.

Actually the lawyers seem concerned about revealing the scores of the honor students not concerned about the feelings of the non honor students...

I know in high school I actually asked not to be included on the public list, found it embarassing...I didn't threaten litigation at the time but...

"think of how stupid the average person is then realize that half the people are stupider than that" - Carlin

Everyone is not equil in EVERY aspect of their lives. The Honor Roll when I grew up was to encourage the kids making C and Bs to try a little harder. As previously stated some people don't care but some do and need some help in deciding where to focus their time, especially when half the parents don't care anyway.

I can just hear the ACLU now... "WE DON'T WANT TO BE JUDGED!" "Do you want people judging your childen, who gives them that right?" etc...

The fact is we are all judged on numerous levels every day, especailly once we get into the work force. People like this, especailly the lawyers, would play on the ignorance of others to get paid... I couldn't be a judge in this country because I'm sure 90% of all suits that came across my desk would be give back to the lawyers with STFU written in big bold letters. Might be fun for a month though...

On another note... I tend to agree with your Vor. Joseph is very advanced for his age (according to the day care and my mom who tests special needs children) but at the same time I want his reinforcement to come from us. However I'll probably leave it up to him, if he wants me to have a sticker on my car, so be it, if not, then not.
