Best Original Party Idea?
I am a big party guy, I usually try to throw a party at least twice a month out of my house, and go to a ton at other houses in between. But there sure is such a better atmosphere when the party has a theme... I know some of my parties have people walking away saying "that was the best party all summer" or something like that and it always makes me proud...
So, what kind of original ideas have you guys put together for parties?
I got two examples, one is a more common one, first is the jello wrestling party. Blow-up pool filled with jello, two girls vs 1 guy mandatory wrestling matches, tons of fun.
Second example, is a all guy event, meaning only guys participate but we had tons of cheerleaders. We called it the Beer Olympics, a competition including the 40oz dash, fastest team (each member has one) to finish both 40ozers. Then we had a massive beer pong competition, 21 cups on each side, brackets were set up and the winner of the competition got a medal (just like the 40oz dash). We had a few more events, but we were too trashed to continue... we bought shitty little 99 cent medals for everyone from a Party Fair, winners got a gold medal, and a MVP (I won the MVP for finishing the 40oz in under 60 seconds)...
So there are two ideas as precedents, you guys got your own stories?

one thing we do a lot is like "around the world" basically in each room of the house its something different. you start in one room, u cant leave that room until for example u bong 2 beers, then go to the next room and u cant leave that room until u take 5 shots, then the next room cant leave until you shotgun a beer, then the next room u have to do body shots, etc etc.. those are just examples u can make each room whatever u want.....its fun times.

For my 30th birthday, my friends rented out a large banquet hall, rented a bunch of casino machines, and hired a few card dealers. It was all done to a James Bond Theme. All the guys dressed in Tuxedos, and all the girls were in cocktail dresses. One of my buddies that works at a viedo production company spliced together some classic scenes from the James Bond movies, and had it playing on monitors around the hall. The DJ mixed in current music, and James Bond theme songs, including some of the stuff on the David Arnold Project. I'm not really even that much of a James Bond guy, but it was pretty cool. Everyone had a good time.
Oh, my God; I care so little, I almost passed out.

The "White Trash Trailer Bash" is always fun... everybody dresses up and talks like white trash... no beer better than Bud allowed.
Also, the Pimp and Ho party can be fun... at least it brings scantily clad ladies to it, and bright purple sportcoats.

Let's see -
For Halloween one year, we threw a Mad Scientist/Evil Robot Minion party. Everybody in attendance was required (strictly enforced) to be dressed as either a mad scientist or an evil robot minion. There was Evil George Washington Carver, Evil Carl Sagan, Dr's. Kruschev and Mengele, and several of us dressed as Red Robot from "Exploding Dog".
We filled the house with fog, made mix CD's to dance to with a bit of a science theme, and generally tried to decorate all science-like with periodic charts and things of the sort.
For the booze, we tried to get anything neon-colored. Lemoncello, Midori, Framboise, Blue Curacao...we used things like these as our mixers, and cooled drinks with dry ice. We had gotten ahold of a bunch of inexpensive pyrex Erlenmeyer flasks and drank out of those.
After about 3 or 4 hours, the party eventually devolved into drunken, half-naked revelry, as the dance floor was declared a "no shirt" zone.
That was a fun party.

never have a bon fire
we use to have one on this property in the back end of my neighborhood and we'd light up this massive bon fire and pass around 5th's of smirnoff vodka (yea cheap liquor) and we wasted and then wander up to my house a few hours later and pass out.
One time tho, since the property has a giant feild and all well, someone was hav'n a lil too much fun with the camp fire fuel and splashed it behind him and then it slowly trailed into the fire setting his huge puddle....along with 1/2acre of tall grass on fire... it was um, fun. we didn't get in trouble tho cuz one side has a lake on it, other has a path around it b4 it is wooded...
but ya, as long as you don't have any dumbasses the bon fire is $ imo

Most of them dressed as robots. Though we had a couple of generic scientist girls in attendance, and Marie Curie, too... One girl dressed as Vickie from "Small Wonder."Rivera Bladestrike wrote:That sounds like OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS of fun, what did the girls dress up as though?

Well remember that robots can look nearly human!
As long as it was creative and we could tell it was a robot, we were good. Some robots just had silver "power bands" around their wrists. Some robots even got together and made themselves stylish black t-shirts that just said "replicant" on them.

Although not exactly a "theme", a friend of mine has these small get togethers every once in a while with his girlfriend, my girlfriend and I, and two other regular couples. We usually put on some music, have a couple drinks and play this erotic board game he has. Definitely interesting to see if your girl has any bisexual tendancies...
Anyway we always have fun but it's more for a small couples environment than a full blown party.
