Haha, dumbasses
If you're gonna train a COH, doing it in front of a GM admin is pretty fuckin stupid.

Speaking of stupid, setting up a CoH in front of another guilds pulls isn't exactly a brilliant strategy either...........miir wrote:If you're gonna train a COH, doing it in front of a GM admin is pretty fuckin stupid.

ROFL Sparck. Well when you have thousands of folks to control I guess tactics go right out the fucking window. Wish all leapfrogging asswipes were as stupid.Sparck wrote:Speaking of stupid, setting up a CoH in front of another guilds pulls isn't exactly a brilliant strategy either...........miir wrote:If you're gonna train a COH, doing it in front of a GM admin is pretty fuckin stupid.

I realize people want to do nothing more than cock wave when these types of incidents happen, but I'll just say it straight out without the bullshit.
We've raced to spawns against PD/Farstorm many times already, and it's only going to get worse (I mean better
). In the past, they've beat us and we've beat them. The good part of that has been the lack of drama. As soon as someone engages, the other watches and ports out when they know the other is winning. If the oppossing side wipes, the other jumps in for thier attempt. Once again, without drama. It's the mutually understood rules that have kept things civil up to this point.
We hit Hydro last night, wiped, PD/Fartorm engaged, wiped, then we had another go and won. It's all good. No smack talk, no talk of training, and no drama. That's pretty amazing since we were literally fighting right on top of each other.
Today we go for crab, once again in contention with PD/Farstorm, and a GM shows up to the zone. All I know is we engaged, won, and PD/Farstorm were no longer in zone. All this talk about training is pure bullshit. No one trained you and no one in PE recieved so much as a /tell from the GM. Your BS lies are even more unbelievable since you cannot offer up names.
All this aside, there are loudmouths in both camps that love to stir shit up with drama and smacktalk. Thankfully, they are a minority from both guilds. I would personally like to say how much I've enjoyed PD/Farstorm's good sportsmanship and conduct up to this point and hope we continue the trend of stiff, yet fair competition on MoBs.
See you in game.

Hehhe,
First of, any "rolling" of another guild already in zone attempting to engage a named mob is straight rude. But, it happens. So the best bet, is just help them wipe, maybe dispell a slow, train another mob in, or hell KS. Just about the same abnoxiose level as rolling in the first place.
BTW, this is my first post on VV in like 4 damn years!

Sick Balls!
Well, what it sounds like to me is they were both rushing to the same spot in Plane of Water to pull Hydrotha. Probably one of the two got a full group to the spot and decided to start pulling the mobs on the way to Hydrotha while the other was still CoH'n. Puller prolly got more than one and tried to lose agro to close to camp, mob or two agro'd on the opposing guild's CoH. Someone died, got mad, and brought it to VV.
Ya know, there are two spots you can pull to right? Or you could just clear down to the spots in force removing the need for any CoH'n.

The above is an assumption of what happened based upon the overwhelming amount of facts contributed to this thread.

What up Cane!!
So anyway, the details are something like this: PE and PD/FS are racing down to Kryziik in PoW. PE fights down and PD/FS is CoH'ing. They CoH in front of our pull spot and start crying when they get trained from our pulls.........gm shows up and everything. Well, lucky for us they are afraid to attempt an easy mob with under 50 peeps so while they continue to CoH the hordes down, we pull the named and kill it.
Mob dead, everybody TL's out. Then this jackoff decides to come here and post some nonsense about trains. I mean come on son, your guilds are already an embarrassment to the server, why come here and compound it? You CoH in front of our pulling path and we're the dumbasses? I don't get it.
The really sad part is that you guys can't compete with us without combining your guilds and even then you can't beat us everytime. Sad, so sad. I feel bad for OTB having just gained access to the elemental planes and having to deal with this lag inducing combo soon enough.
Btw, we love getting the tells about how we "pulled one out of our asses" by barely beating a mob with less than 35 people or how we got lucky etc etc. Keep em comin! You see, it's not always a guaranteed victory when you engage mobs with less than 100 people..........then again, it's not a guaranteed victory with 100+ either, is it?

It is less of a problem than it seems, Canelek. Unless you are dealing with PD/FS. Every other guild in the elementals that I have had dealings with the conversation has gone like this:
Raid Leader Elemental Guild tells you "What are you guys killing?"
You tell RLEG "Mob X"
RLEG tells you "Good Luck"
Then you don't hear from them the rest of the night. Though if I leave the zone and the mob is still up, I try to inform the folks that asled earlier about it.
One night, in fact, a GLEG sent me a tell asking me what we were doing. They wanted to do Cornaiv, we were doing Offassa. They knew we were not going to be doing Cornaiv, they asked anyway. When I told tehm Offassa, they then asked if it would be ok if they came down and did Cornaiv. Cornaiv is really quite far away from where you fight Offassa that the two raids would not cause each otehr harm. They had the courtesy to ask anyway.
So, for the most part, folks in the elemental planes have no problems getting along. Sure there is competition there and sure people race for spawns, but from my limited experience, the guilds there treat each other well and once one guild has a capable force in the zone, any competing guild simply wishes them well and does not even enter the zone, much less try to interfer.
PD/FS seems to be the exception to this, so it is not terribly suprising to me to read so many threads here involving them.

I am actually pretty impressed by the way PE and OtB have handled themselves in the elemental planes. Asside from the jokes and everything, they really arn't that bad to share a zone with and pretty much mirror most elemental guild's when it comes to policies. If GuildA has 40 in Plane of Water, and has done Mob6 a number of with 40, there is really no point in zone'n in with a force to wait for them to fail. They mobilized quicker and deserve atleast to get a lag free zone, and a few attempts at their mob. Its like setting up camp at the tables in PoFire, getting ready to pull Reparm, and having someone else start moving to tables to pull Arch Mage Yolanda (obviously not the real name, bit of humor at 4:30). Your just getting in each others way..
Though, some people like to bog down PoFire sooo much that AEs rarely go off, and when the point of the encounter is really dealing with the AE.. well, its kind of like.. *shrug* exploiting poor server equipment? or code? If SOE wasn't getting money per customer, they probably would frown on zerging and lagging mobs. You guys try a LDoN raid yet?
