start saving up 40k or so adena and buy yourself a Gladius...this weapon uses something called soul shot

soul shot is an item you buy for 8 adena each, you smash it in a hot key to make super powered up hits that do not use mana...i buy like 1000 of them at a time and go nuts leveling

on the fighter classes, the ONLY way to properly play is the way you have figured it out...get a decent bow and take a couple shots on a pull and switch to your main weapon

soon as you are able get a gladius...you will be very happy with the results

my suggestion is this...get a gladius, then a bone BP and Gaiters...can get BP before gladius if you want...but the game gets a lot easier once you have it

now at nearing level 19 i have a full set of bronze(bp and gaiters) and the highest level leather hat and the basic boots you can buy in the starting villages

atm i'm working on saving up 140kish for a sabre from Gludin and lionskin armor that is lighter and increases your evade

seems that lighter armor is better when fighting easy mobs to level up

as for a "help" option in game, there is none of that atm, no manuals no nothing...after the next patch or so i think it will be implemented in beta...i know on the live korean servers the game is 100% complete with all of that jazz; i also believe there are other options that will be available besides pointing and clicking in reguards to movement

anyway, the game is mega cool for this being the earliest beta phase in the US

booooo....the bartz server is being wiped of characters this Sunday...and the servers will be down till wednesday where they will have completed patching the next phase of beta

i will send the beta acceptance on wednesday to those that did NOT get it from me the first time around as it was too late

ncsoft will be accepting a larger beta testing audience this time around

when we start up again later in the week lets post our characters and names and start a bloodpact(need this for pvp too ^^) to mess around with...we can work on the beginner quests and roll onto some harder stuff that i just got to start messing with in the first phase of beta if you guys and gals want

Just as I was actually GETTING somewhere with a character I liked they wipe the server, heh. That's ok though, gives me a chance to try out a couple other characters for a day or so.
