This is Fantastic! I was also a Huge fan of pirates and would play this game for Hours..... Hehehe as a matter of fact, when i'd buy a treasure map, i'd know right where the treasure was with only one piece of the map :P

and who could forget attacking San Jose with a Sloop..... 350 soldiers against my 50 pirates, Damn Crav... I can't wait for this game to hit the Shelves :D

Yeah I'm pretty stoked for this. I hope Meier is actually designing it though, instead of just putting his name on it like his last 4 games. I really like pirate games but no one's really gotten one right since the last time Meier made one. Sea Dogs was alright but kind of limited.

I remember the "box" for the C64 was a binder w/ the stuff inside. The fencing was a little weak but the rest was terrific

Wow, I haven't played Pirates! since before I owned a computer. Was on my friends really old Mac, though I have no idea which model, but it was in color and I remember all my other friends' computers were B&W.

Anyhow, I can't wait, that game was awesome!

edit: I! love! how! it! has! the! exclamation! point! in! the! title!

Thought I'd post thisarticlefrom Game Spot.

Seems they have all the old stuff only in 3d and with some improvements. I don't know what to think about the dancing minigame. Oh well still can't wait for it to be finished :D.
