Nice phone, and you make $190 on the purchase of it... not bad at all.

Just posting it in case anyone is in the market!

Fuck, I just ordered a T616 from AT&T this past weekend. I already have service through them and I am contemplating adding my current plan to this one.

Owenn,

Did you start a new account when you ordered the T616? If you did, you can cancel it, no question's asked, within 30 days. You just pay a pro-rated bill of the air-time you use.

Not sure whether you knew that or not, but I ended up getting a phone, cancelling it, then getting a 200 dollar phone for free after I started a new plan.

Yeah, but that's pretty normal - at least for me.

I just got two of these locally on a Family Time plan with T-mobile and made $140 in rebates. Excellent phone too.

Actually, I did start up a new account with the purchase of that phone. My idea was to see if I liked it and then upgrade my old phone, crappy old Nokia, to GSM as its a TDMA phone.

I didn't read it too closely, is it required that you go with T-Mobile, or could I go with AT&T?

Shame they don't have any on the Verizon network. I'm not switching services until a competitor can even come close to it's service.

My cell phone is a horrible, antiquated, mess though

Both the rebates require activation on the T-mobile service. Why would you not want to use T-mobile over AT&T? Both are available in this area and IMHO T-mobile wins in every regard compared to AT&T.

I've used AT&T for 10 months now and haven't had any problems with it.

My friend at work has T-Mobile at work and is always bitching about his service thats all.

This has expired by the way. Apparently the phone for $80 was a pricing error on Amazon's part and they might not even honor the orders that were placed. (I'll be pissed!)
