He tells the stuff is done differently there than in other parts of the world, it's sometimes better to take a beating and then revenge later then get killed and trust me little fucking punks like that will kill you like nothing! if you think it's better to be humiliated than killed right?

I've lived in Belarus most of my life, and that is exactly the sort of shit that happens every day on the streets in Russia/Ukraine and the rest of the former USSR countries.

Notice how the people don't give a shit, everyone is for themselves. That's how things operate in those fucked up countries, I'm glad I got the fuck out of there.

Whoever mentioned police, well fuck police, they're are useless and would probably stand there and laugh throughout the entire incident.

I've seen this sort of shit happen on a (unfortunately) fairly frequent basis in Poland, right down to one asshole punching a guy in the face, busting his hand open, and then blaming it on that very same guy--seems to be quite the popular thing to do in these situations.

To tell you the truth, the guy getting his ass kicked probably did the right thing by not fighting back. After all, there were a couple dudes standing around him, possibly with weapons, and they weren't gonna leave until he got his. These things also have a way of coming around, though, so I wouldn't be surprised if the guy who was doing the kicking eventually got jumped himself.

As for the people standing around, yeah, they didn't do shit, but this is not exactly the type of stuff you want to stick your nose in. The best thing they could've done would've been to call the cops and hope nobody saw them making that phonecall.

Anyway, here's ome extra translated stuff:

Chick: "Stop it! Don't hit him in the face!"
Guy Doing The Kicking: "Shut your mouth!"

They also mentioned the cell phone as if they wanted to steal it off of him, and the guy in the baseball cap made references to some girl. He asked the guy on the bench if he saw that girl (not sure if it was the same girl that was sitting on the bench in the beginning) and then, after punching him, told him to stay away from her.

Typical, huh?

I dont know how many fights you have been in emmer, but i thought it was pretty obvious that that guy was about dead if he fought back, seeing as most probably the 10 other guys around him would have jumped in if he wouldve hit back...

And i dont know how those types of deals work in the US, but in a situation like that over here in europe, if you fight back to little suburbian brats like that when its 1-10, your setting yourself up for about 2-3 more breathingholes in your chest/belly if you decide to hit back on the guy beating you.

I'd say Krimson hit it right on the nail with his post. Fighting is never like in the movies.

I didn't see ten guys surrounding him, I saw four, five if you count the cameraman. The other people on the sidewalk moved away when the fighting broke out, presumably because they weren't involved. I've been in a few fights, I don't have a rambo mentality or anything but I can tell you from the experience I do have that you don't accomplish much by sitting down while someone is kicking your face in.

Don't get me wrong, obviously the guy is going to get his ass beat one way or the other. I just don't see why he sits there like a dipshit waiting for the next kick to the head. I don't know how things go in Poland but where I come from, if someone is kicking your ass and/or lays so much as a finger on your girlfriend, you fight whether you are going to win or not.

Krimson is right on the money, emotions aside, as much as I would love to grab whatever was handy whether it be a gun, sword, bat, 3 foot concrete dildo (wtf?!?) and jump into the fray to rescue the fallen victim. Common sense and self preservation would kick in and make me call the cops who have proper gear to deal with that sort of mindless violence. Unfortunatley thats in Europe as well where they don't have the same civil rights as us ( i believe if incorrect well fuck you I live in America!) so...

I grew up in the projects and we had non proffesional boxing matches all the time. Not trying to go pro or anything, it was for fun just like basketball or anything else to get out aggression in the neighborhood *I'll be honest, it was cock-jousting*. That's why I mentioned boxing ring. I have broken up a fight here in the states that I would not dare to attempt in Poland. I have only broken up one fight in my entire life, and I did not even dream I would catch a bullet by doing it. In Poland, in that scenario, it's almost a certainty if you are lucky that's all you get. If I have to choose between a guy getting kicked in the head 5-6 times by 5 guys, or me becoming worm food for trying to stop it....mm...I choose worm food, enguard motherfuckers!

The situation in the video above is far different from anything you have probably ever experienced, so its understandable you have absolutely no idea what your talking about, but don't go attacking those that do.

The closest thing we have like this in the states is probably on Martin Luther King Dr. If anyone knows what that street is, theres just about one in every county. Go down to Miami, hang out on that street at night, wait for a fight to break out (or, hell, start one yourself... your a hero) and then try to respond the way that thing in your pants tells you to.

Maybe the rules are different there, but my mentality isn't something I check in and leave at customs when traveling abroad.

I've been to shithole countries. I've seen corruption. I've seen dead people, murdered by a mob for stealing in the slums of africa. I didn't follow the rules then, either, I was eighteen and took a matatu (think unregulated privately owned taxi packed to the gills with kenyans) from nairobi into one of the largest slums in the world, went into one of the poorest areas on the planet, alone with a videocamera, filming everything I saw for a couple hours. According to the "rules" I should have been mugged, stabbed or stoned. It was a stupidly dangerous situation. It was also one of the most enlightening experiences of my entire life, one I don't regret in the least.

Maybe discretion is the better part of valor, but I just can't picture living my life under the assumption that every asshole trying to kick you in the face or hit your girlfriend has a gun in his pocket.

In my previous philosophical discussions with friends, we eventually arrived at the conclusion that there exists a category of situations that you cannot give a definate answer to before hand.

For example, a man with a gun is standing near your mother and father. He asks you choose which one will live and which will die. If you choose nothing, then they both die. Which do you choose?

Our conclusion was always that the answer you give to the hypothetical situation will not be consistent with what would go through your mind in at an actual event of this nature. As a result, the hypothetical situation has no valid answer.

I believe that the fight in Poland is such an event.

You are walking down a street in Poland and you see the events transpire as in the video clip. What do you do?

The answer is that you will have an expectation to do one thing based upon what your own logical reasoning. You have the luxury of considering the situation from a detached objective frame of reference. When the time comes to face that situation on the street, you will be driven by your emotional state.

I am afraid that my own sense of indignation would drive me to uncontrollable anger. I would intervene without careful consideration for the possible danger to myself. The only mitigating circumstance that could stop me in my tracks was if my wife was standing there alone with me. I have trained in the martial arts and boxing since I was 12. I have never been in a fight and never let my anger get the better of me, but I do not tolerate wolves preying upon the weak. This may get me into serious (or fatal!) trouble one day. I only trust that I will always do what I believe is right. I honestly believe that the more people that follow this path, the better off the world will be.
