Need for Speed : Underground - X-Box

picked up an X-box this christmas. First game console i have purchased in 10 years, but i am really liking it so far.

NFS:underground- Qualify that i love, love, love racing games. This title is somewhat frustrating though. You have to race through the scripted sequences to Unlock the engine / model configurations.

It has 2-player ( splitscreen) and multiple player ( regular xbox network ) capability. The Cars you can use are totally configurable with every aftermarket part i could imagine you could change. Decals, colors, etc etc.

Personally i love it, although i could see why some would not ( due to the unlocking feature)

Bad part about NFSU is that the cars you start with are fully as good as the ones you unlock later. In fact, the Miata is the best car you can possibly get (when upgraded), and that's available from the start. It makes the unlocking thing ridiculous, in my opinion, and somewhat reduces the replayability of the game.

Another thing that seems to be bother the PC version is that you cannot setup a LAN game with your friends.

You have to play on their networks

I don't think I've played any other racing game except Gran Turismo. I was so TT when they took out the Preludes in 3

it's fun till you near the end of the game...then no matter what car you have you will see shit cars pass you up

i was driving a maxxed out upgraded skyline and i'm on one of the last 10 races and i'm driving perfectly hitting every corner right...ZOOOM here comes a fucking dodge neon right past me...what the fuck?
