Oh yeah - that's actually relatively old news. Or at least it *sort* of is. I remember it being reported a couple of months back when the audit started. Nice to see it finished with that finding...
I remember Halliburton countering at the time that their prices were so high because they had so much overhead involved with getting the fuel to the troops, and that R&D for desert transport was costly.
We'll see if they stick to that now that the audit is complete. It makes sense until you compare the prices they charged to the prices the military charges itself for the same service, then Halliburton's story just falls apart.
I'm gonna be pretty interested to see how this pans out.
