You have a spyware app running that is causing this. Usually, this is a combo of both files and registry entries. Your best bet is really a spyware remover app. Go to http://www.download.com and search for SpyBot. Maybe not the answer you are looking for, but this will fix it.

SpyBot S&D finds the one on my comp... but only cleans it and it resets my homepage after every reboot... I rerun spybot and have blank up as my homepage, kinda annoying, but I figure if it bugs me too much, Ill just wipe my hard drive...

raistin has this problem too, I think it's a virus or trojan or something - not spyware... I couldnt' get rid of it with Ad-aware.

you can get a program called hijackthis that you can get rid of the search page line, i worked on a friends computer that was having this problem, but no matter what i tried, even removing all the spyware and trojans and everything else he had cluttered on his computer, it still kept getting readded, i finally thought that it might have been a website he was going to that kept readding it, but i havn't spoken with him since i told him to stop going to that particular website

anyways, you can either try hijack this, or in spybot- search & destroy go to tools and click on browser pages, and look for any suspcious entries, ie. ones that have the search site's web address in them, and click on them and click change

good luck, browser hijacks are the most annoying that ive encountered of all the spyware so far, i literally spent hours and hours trying to get it off there, it was very resilient

I had that Hijackthis shit on my computer, thing is Adaware wasn't catching it. I realized that you need to DL the latest version (doing file update checks won't update the program) to 6.181 After that it cleaned my system up real perty like.

Yeah, I was using an old build of Ad-Aware that was missing a lot of shit ('betterinternet' in particular)... once I got the latest build (and the latest reference file) it cleaned pretty much everything.

I've heard good things about Hijackthis and Spybot S&D but I have no reason to change from AdAware.
