id turned off their auth servers like a year ago when some shithead cracked it so just use a keygen.

The keygens only work to trick the checksum for single player, it won't work for multiplayer. And if Id ever turned off their validation servers, they're back on now... even if you do happen to get a keygen for mp punkbuster will pick it up and it will be unvalidated ))

does anyone ever get problems from legitament cd keys not working anymore in q3? A little while ago I felt like playing it again but it said my key was invalid.

I have one you can use Stragi, I'll send it to you when I get back in town on Monday afternoon if you still need it. I don't think I'll ever be playing it again. UT2003 > Q3!
