Rumors fly: New melee class.

Berserker class is being rumored to be the new melee class. Where exactly it will fit in the heirarchy of existing DPS/Tank classes is to be seen, as is it's capabilities and/or need when melee balance is still so hotly contested an issue.

However, it's in the news.

Perhaps this Berserker will be what i thought the Barbarian Warrior would be at first!

Not being able to wear any plate,scale,chain armor , sacrificing defence for higher offense!

In my eyes, not a real tank, but a good damage dealer, perhaps most proficient in 2handed axes?

Who knows! They should have OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS of warpaint though!

Class is supposed to be purely DPS... 15k dps in like 5 seconds ... normal melee around monk dps.... but armor of a wizard..

Now...DPS stands for Damage Per Second. Lets look at that for a second. 15k DPS in like 5 seconds.

And iirc monks were originally supposed to have high DPS and crap tank ability, correct? So they fuck up the class and make a new monk class?

Edit: Was thinking about it for a little bit, and who the fuck even comes close to 1k DPS?

15k damage in 5 seconds sounds on the high end. 7k I can imagine - it will be melee burst dps with a 'cool-down time' or with mana/endurance regen as an issue.

But base DPS as a monk *and* this ability?

They better have less AC and hp than a crappily geared wizard...
