Someone on Stern this morning said a little blurb about Brittney Spears being offered $1M+ by Playboy for a spread, and she's considering it. Has anyone heard anything like this?

who cares playboy would just wreck it anyway. the last time I looked in that magazine the women looked more fake than the CG characters in that final fantasy movie. I don't even think they were actually standing in the sets they were in and were just drawn in later.

Like, don't like it. Engineered & airbrushed or not, whatever. I was more curious of the downward slide of britney spears. Posing for playboy is first stop! I do agree that playboy is not what it used to be. The womens pics are so touched up, its almost laughable.

Brittney is in the middle of a "rebranding" to try to appeal to a mid 20s audience.

whether or not the 'blurb' is true, if she does do Playboy it will be because her management team thinks it will translate into increased long term revenue.

I don't think posing for playboy means your career is going to shit anymore. People in general in the US seem to be getting more liberal about nudity. Spears doesn't have any problems at the moment with getting media attention. I think she's trying to change her image.. but I don't know if posing nude would work that well for her.

It's probably just a rumor anyway. It's not like she needs a million dollars or whatever, and she probably generates more interest as a tease than she would any other way.

To me anyway, posing in playboy is a lot classier than doing photoshoots for those lecherous "men's magazines" like Stuff and FHM. I mean at least the articles and editorial content aren't written by 19 year old undersexed fucking losers with a year of community college.

You know.....I don't think anyone has ever tried anything quite like this before, but I wonder if an independent group could raise enough money via pledges to entice some washed up entertainers or celebrities to do something like this? Read this thread again. She started off with her opinion on playboy, you stirred shit with her, and she responded in kind. Then she stated another opinion, without ad hominem attacks, which someone else came after her for.

90% of the threads are like that. Sometimes she shoots first, but when it's coming at you from every angle that's to be expected.

You guys perpetuate this stupid fucking game of chicken and egg. One (or more) of the anti-Kyoukan brigade will do their best to annoy her, then when she starts swinging, the rest of you talk shit for her not posting anyhthing meaningful. Well, which begat the other? As far as I can tell in this thread, she was participating in a discussion until you chimed in. Pot, Kettle. Get to know each other. Questioning whether research is valid or asking for scientific proof is another perfectly reasonable component of a discussion, unless you just want to blindly believe everything that you read.

That's precisely why I find her presence here valuable. Besides often being funny, she doesn't just post "LOL" or a smiley face or blindly follow the popular opinion. She questions what she hears, and calls bullshit on people. I do the same thing, and that's probably why I'm perceived as a member of some imaginary fnord or kyoukan's lapdog. I don't know her from Adam, and I'm certainly not trying to get into the pants of some married chick that I've never seen who lives thousands of miles from me and I have only spoken to through an internet message board. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, and in this case the common enemy is stupidity.

In closing, I'll definitely buy any Playboy that Brittney Spears appears in.
