Druids didn't like the fact that the spell wouldn't take effect on mobs that couldn't be snared.

It was actually a long time request by druids in druids grove ..

Insane cast time on epic for a snare (better and faster to equip an ensnare earring or shield for that purpose)

Plus lots of mobs immune to changes in movement speed rendering it useless in those situation ..

Hope they reduce the aggro though .. especially with snare component off epic now ...

and PS .. some warning would have been nice :P

There was a warning.... I knew it was going into that patch.

And I am HAPPY about it. Why? Ensnare doesn't cost that much to cast, so losing a *free* snare is no skin off my back, AND it lasts longer than the epic.

It's nice to be able to DoT mobs that you couldn't before because of their "no change in run speed" status.

I think Leelee needs to take a chill pill!

Overall, I am probably happy it is gone. Mind you, I am not doing handstands over it, because it was saving me a spell slot. Guess it is time to go looking for an earring. Think I got some ES gaunts around someplace as well.. bleh.

There were just not that many mobs that were immune to it. Now, if they dropped the amount of agro it causes, my happiness factor would go up.

No snare is great. Basically a free dot that has no stacking issues, and lets you use ensnare which is dirtass cheap and reliable, and lasts a hell of a lot longer. And yea, they shoulda said something.. but praise the upgrade.

I personally am glad they removed it from the epic..a snare that lasts just as long sucks when it takes so long to cast it in the first place.

Wasn't it requested to have the snare effect and DoT effect on seperate things? So when it was casted on say... a small mushroom, it was not fully resisted due to the npc being imune to snare, but ONLY DoT'd and not snared. This would make sense... taking out the snare completely was a half-ass job of fixing it if you ask me.

/rude Verant... once again.

You're asking for a huge re-write of the spell code here. You've got to consider the developer's RvR :)

Snares don't stack, meaning druid epics wouldn't stack while the snare component was there. Wonder if necro epics are next.

I'm pretty happy they removed it myself. It allows druids to put the epic dot on a lot earlier in a fight becasue as you don't have the extra agro from the snare component. And snare earrings are cheap.

How many times does it have to be said... It's not a nerf. It was a request by a large majority of the Druid population. The only thing Verant screwed up was not mentioning it in the patch message. Sure, some of us knew it was coming. Knew that it was on test. But when a change to an epic goes live they should say something about it.

The few druids i know that use it were more pissed they took it off without any word in the patch then anything.
Like Canoe said, OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS of bad shit has happened cause they had no warning.
Didnt know so many druids hated the fact that it had a snare. I figured that was a good thing to go along with the dot.
Verant can still fuck off, they should have said something other then oops, 4 days later.

Raistin fuck off.

WTF are you babbling about now you daft trollop?

I still don't agree with your description of "bad things happening" and 'sides, you came here with a phat "/rude VI" whine looking for props and got your face slapped on account of being clueless.

I have to agree, using just daft or trollop would have been reason for props alone, but "daft trollop" was almost too good. Someone please work in my new word, 'fuckered' with Leelee. Then I can die a happy man.

I would hardly say that you are pissy and rude on the FoH boards...the haven for whining gimps. :)

On a side note, I would hardly say Verant "fucked" my epic. It's taken a bit to get used to, but overall a much needed improvement. Call me lazy, but it was a pain in the ass to recast a 9 sec epic every ~2:30 just to keep the snare on.

*edit* quoting option > me

I tend to stay off those threads cos the signal to noise ratio on FoH boards is low enough all ready. Mind you, I unleashed the fury on a few people on some threads about the exp changes and Searyx was lucky to escape with his eyebrows after claiming Nirvana were a better band than The Pixies.

It's both an adjective and a verb. For example:

"Leelee's reputation sure is fuckered."

or

"Leelee has fuckered her way around Veeshan."

"Leelee likes to get fuckered."

"I am the only male on Veeshan that Leelee hasn't fuckered!" :D

The Pixies are a great band. I liek them very much.

However, Kurt Cobain had a way of putting very visceral feeling into music that I've never heard since. "About a Girl" > ALL

The Pixies were one of the most progressive and influential rock bands of the late 80's and early 90's.

They helped us get away from hair bands that sucked and into bands with less flash but better music. In short, they killed Warrant, Cinderella, Poison, ect., for which humanity owes them a HUGE debt.

But don't worry too much, old man. You wouldn't like them any more than you've like any music since Lawrence Welk was yanked off the air
