Honestly, I like Coray's take on it. Should have happened a long time ago, but sans that, SoE should have stuck to their guns about not offering geared transfers, ever.

of course this happens after my friend JUST moved to a new server from veeshan and gave away all her stuff and lost her (almost done epic)

I agree either soney should have let people move with all their stuff from the start or with nothing at all.

But changing their minds mid stream is just not right.

She paid the same amount of money to move to a new server without anything and today people can pay the same amount and move with everything....

something just doesn't seem right.

Each time a new game comes out (FFXI), Sony tries to make things a litttle easier for it's current subcribers. Nothing new here.

I think it's a good move. No drop stuff mostly these days anyways.

...plus it only takes a week to get to 65.

Sucks if you're a player who paid for an x-fer and lost all of your items, but it's great if you're a stockholder.

Why not? Origin/EA has been doing this for over a year for UO...
