Turducken

Post by Aabidano »

The thanksgiving thread reminded me of these, commonly available on the N. Gulf coast. I've never seen or heard of them elsewhere.

Amazingly good, taste, texture, looks, everything you could ask for. Definately a unique meal to boot.

It's essentially a boned chicken inside a boned duck inside a boned turkey, with stuffing in the center and between layers. Pretty easy to make, other than boning the birds. You can't make it wrong, other than using "boxed" stuffing. Rice\raisin and\or bread\rice + sausage stuffing works good.

Just thinking of it makes my mouth water :)

The guy listed in Pensacola does a great job, never bought one from him personally.

Never ever heard of that until last year on the Ron and Fez show. Regardless of the taste, I found the whole concept rather funny. It's weird too as duck meat isn't really like chicken or turkey at all.
