Post by Coatlicue [KoE] »

Anyone dressing up for halloween? The bitches that run our company pretty much threatened to blacklist those that don't dress up. (i work for a fucking call center)

I decided to be a witch. cheap, inexpensive costume and me and 2 of my girls are going to dress alike and pretend were the witches from Macbeth. I'm fucking 23 years old and i'm dressing up for halloween... for work, mind you, not even for fun. how lame is that? I'm not even going to a damn party. *sigh*

I'd like to know if anyone else is too.

When I worked at the lab, everyone dressed up for Halloween there (ages ranged from early 20's to 50+). Was a lot of fun. Not lame at all.

The past few years I had gone to a Halloween party at a co-worker's house. Again, it was a lot of fun. Last year, we (a few friends) went as the Musketeers. We made our own costumes and everyone thought we had rented them, they were that good. :D

i, too, have a nazi bitch of a boss that's forcing everyone to dress up or be blacklisted. luckily the department trumped this by deciding that our "costumes" would be our pajamas. of course i don't own any fucking pajamas, bleh...

The only good part about halloween is the after-holiday candy sales at the grocery stores.

Hell yes! Starting last year I take my neices and some kids of family friends out 'trick or treating' each halloween. Its actually really fun just getting out there and remembering what it was like to be a little kid on Halloween. Some great memories have come from Halloween. Its on a Friday this year, might as well make something of it. =)

I quit trick or treating at age 12 or so.

I dressed up on halloween during college though, halloween at University of Dayton was pretty huge. I did it twice, once as an easter bunny, once as a miller beer truck driver.

Easter bunny got on video yearbook and I was real fucked up. They had me hopping around on video tape. The bunny was better then I thought, do you know how many female bunnies there were? I just thought it was funny to be the wrong holiday but all the girl bunnies hung around me all night. One guy from Notre dame called me a fag and took a swing because of the outfit, but I knocked him down and he couldn't get back up so I just walked away.

Beer truck driver was just coveralls with Miller stenciled on the back. But I got some thick rimed glasses (didn't wear glasses then) grew a beard then night of shaved it to my first goatee. Als took my shaggy hair I let get too long and clipped the sides way down...died it all black. I got to my friends party and they didn't know who I was....not confused about my costume, they literally didn't recognize me, my roomate had to look closely.

This year I'm just going to be a doctor at my party. This is the first time dressign up in 7 years. Age 29.

Claritin had to dress up one year at work. Word of advice, don't ever be Jesus after the resurrection at a work halloween party. They don't like it.

I work with a few old farts with too much holiday spirit as well. I wore a swing outfit last year and haven't decided what to wear this year. Probably the pimp outfit I wore last weekend. Gold costume jewelry with a Henry the VIII type fauz fur coat along with a nice hat with a feather. It si an easy costume that I can hide before i leave the office as well.

I have to bounce on Holloween so whatever I wear has to go with Steel Toed boots.

I am considering getting a UPS uniform and going to work as Kevin James on King of Queens.

My roommates and I had a pretty good idea, but we're lazy bastards so we won't get around to doing it. Since one is really tall and skinny, he was going to dress up as Abe Lincoln. When I heard that, I started thinking that with some little round glasses and shaving my goatee into a moustache I could probably make a decent Teddy Roosevelt, and that we should get two of our other roommates to be George Washington and Thomas Jefferson and go as the presidents of Mt. Rushmore.

The clincher is that one of my roommates is asian, I thought it'd be hilarious to have him in a powdered wig dressed up as Washington. Alas, it probably won't happen this year.

It's kinda weird down here. The adults dress up and get crazy the week before Halloween, and the kiddies do it the week after.

5 of the guys were schoolgirls, one was a sailor girl. One girl was a sexy cop, one a sexy firegirl, two were cowgirls, and one wore nothing but spiked heels and a rubber raincoat.

A friend of mine in college used to get several people together and do group costumes. One year, they dressed up as the guys from Devo. The year prior it was The Clockwork Orange, which I've always wanted to replicate but never had the time to sit down and design and make the costumes. There's always next year.

Bunny was about the gayest costume I could talk myself into, school girl is a bit more then I could do.

At Dayton once I saw a funny group costume. It was a bunch of people with cars made out of boxes. One was driving a white bronco or whatever...OJ Simpson....the rest were all cops. And of course OJ was always up front as they went from keger to keger. This was of course whent he OJ thing was big news.

No longer doing the costume thing.

Back in college my roommates and I used to hold an annual Halloween costume party - it was awesome.

All sorts of good costumes, but the one that stands out was this couple that came in a cardboard box painted white with thier heads sticking out with little whale hat/hood things (there was a news thing about 2 whales stuck in the ice - sometime in the late 80s, I don't recall as I spent it in an alcoholic stupor).

Halloween > me

I am in college, so we have tons of parties in town for Halloween. I am going to be Alvin from Alvin and the Chipmunks. I am very short (5'4"), have a red turtle neck with a large, yellow felt "A" sewn on it, and a red hat with another yellow "A" on it. I steal some of my mom's makeup and make the front of my nose black..

I did this last year, and I'm sorta unoriginal this year (I'm hanging out with a different crowd this year though - so it doesn't matter)... The womens were all over me. I will have to find a pic.

Simple and kinda funny.

1 garbage bag with hole cut out for arms and head.
1 section of garden hose tied around the waist
1 pair of sunglasses for effect

= A hose Bag.

Plus living in a rainy environment the bag can double as a raincoat.

Halloween

Post by Ducru »

I've pretty much dressed up one way or another forever. The last few years has been simple just to take the nieces and nephews out while their parents go to the real parties.

The best costume I ever had was back in 1997 at a Hendrix college party. I went as "The first step in a long line of evolutionary advances among modern man"...

I was basically thefirst monkey to ever stand upright, andrealized that my Johnson was swinging and needed to cover it up. The closest thing available was a smaller monkey...

So I went to Wal-Mart, bought a stuffed monkey doll. I cut a slice in it's back, and shoved the package and acutriments inside, pulled his tail up the crack of my ass, and sewed fishing line around it to hold it on.

Won the contest... but the BEST part of the evening was when the cops shoed up and I was the only sober one at the party. My name had been drawn the night before to be the driver to get everyone there back to campus. The cops didn't find it as amusing as the party-goers=)

I think they misunderstood the whole dick stuck in the back of a stuffed monkey concept.

Korell, I was a 6'4" easter bunny too...if you count the ears haha.

HAHAHAHA! That is pretty clever, but there are many homeless in Portland, and I would not want to get kicked out of the party for vagrancy! :P

A GREAT costume for LA is a poncho, Dodger cap and bag o' oranges. Not sure if the NW folks would get that one though!

I ended up getting a big blue wig and Harry Caray(sp) glasses... I scared the shit out of the dog, so I figure it will do fine... :D

Dressing up tonight, since this is Trick 'o Treat here this eve.
And since it also qualifies as my 2nd year anniversary, I'm wearing somthing more.. on two levels.

Layer one: Black robe, somthing like what they wore in the intro to Dead Like Me, black gloves, black dress shoes, and a bonafide rusted single bladed axe.

Layer two: After trick o' treat is over and all the little kiddies have laughed their asses off at me, I've got on dress pants, dres shirt, belt, black socks, ect - for a special anniversary dinner or such.

Layer three: A tiger print thong.
And it's bloody uncomfortable.

I throw a big "booze" party every year for halloween called "Zombie Zoo" so I alway dress up. A Cat, Rogue, Ghostbusters.. hell I've lost count of the costumes.

The best so far was when we built a fully functional 4-seater Flinstone's car. A very drunk Fred, Wilma, Barney and Betty drove (with our feet) the car downtown for the big party the city throws and wadded through the crowds in style :) We'd only stop to get drinks or pickup passengers!
