I was in San Fran last week, and believe me when I say, I was highly disapointed when I heard I was a week early and going to miss this "event". I have heard so many good things about it.

It was THE BOMB !! Temp was even HOT for the city , probably about 92 on the peirs. Lots of people , yet enough space to actually have some room to sit and relax , watch all the festivities. The best one was a catapault type device with 2 BIG wheels. When they hit the edge to launch the cat , the guy couldnt handle the stress , got semi launched , and SPLAT one leg Off the pier one leg ON the pier. The groans on the replay were proof of the pain. All in all , one of the BEST days I have ever had in SF , Hot weather , fun people , great event , and LOTS of beer

I went to Pier One and all I saw was overprice housewares and funky thick glasses.

I was there earlier this month during the airshow - that was pretty cool
