Reminds me of someone a long time ago telling me that anyone that's ever played Jesus in a movie or TV show has had something very bad happen to them. Always thought it was b.s.
I heard on the radio this morning that that movie is going to be in latin or aramaic or some shit and not even have subtitles, i dont know how the hell they can make a movie like that without even subtitiles, im sure theyl have to change it

Hrm...I don't know I'd call him a hardcore Christian. More like fringe almost cult-like religious individual. If you've followed the controversy over the movie, you'll see he and the Vatican don't exactly get along and differ on some major points of commonly accepted theology.
Not that the Catholic church is right anyway...but still.

In 1965, the Second Vatican Council of the Roman Catholic Church formally rejected Jewish culpability in Christ's death. But Gibson belongs to an ultraconservative Catholic movement that rejects the reforms of the Second Vatican Council and the legitimacy of the current Vatican leadership.
Mel Gibson is a very staunch orthodox catholic who rejects most of the modern Vatican's dogma. Apparently he has his own chapel in his house and conducts mass every day in latin. I think he was raised like that.
Interestingly enough his father has a reputation for being a raging anti-semite and to this day publically denies the holocaust ever happened, writing it off as some jew plot to control the world or something. He's pretty insane, but it makes you wonder how Mel was raised.
