What it boils down to is that warriors have one nitch, tanking the toughest of the mobs their guild can handle.
In every other phase of the game, the knights are superior.
If you compare a 60 paladin to a 60 warrior.
Big Raid- Advantage Warrior w/defensive.
Small Raid- Doesn't really matter who tanks. In my guild, that's something like west wing armor farming, or anything up to Vindi in kael. Extra damage taken by the paladin is offset by the greater aggro production which lets the rest of the raid tear loose.
Exp Group- Advantage Pally. Brells cuts that 600hp gap down to 300hp, stuns, roots, etc hold aggro much better.
Small group- Advantage Pally. Same reasons as above, add in self 20% haste, and the ability to reliably heal themselves (Celes Cleansing).
Solo- Anything a warrior can solo, a paladin can solo better, faster, and with less downtime. Paladin with self buffs will have MUCH MORE hp than the warrior.
So yeah, warriors are a tad worried about being edged out on top end raids, since that's pretty much all they're good at, though they can gimp along in other situations.

juggs/reets, golems in vlek, umbral, maiden's, ssra, cazic, PoG (i know slow respawn, but tons of mobs), PoH, kael arena, skyshrine cubes/wyvern, icewell dungeon (nobody ever goes there namely because the loot sucks ass i spose), SG....There are a plethora of high level mobs that have been sitting around unused for quite some time because it simply wasn't wothwhile to kill them. It does somewhat narrow your options for group members, but there are enough 58+ characters on veeshan to put a solid group togeather.
Don't blame me if you see my old characters acting like asses.

Tracking them down and getting them in one spot is another matter entirely though. I've only got a couple hours to play on weeknights, an hour scrounging up folks to go do something pretty much blows or limits the evening. Going somewhere and being able to get "decent" exp and build a group as you go work out well.Pubin wrote:there are enough 58+ characters on veeshan to put a solid group togeather.
After all the idiots I've been exposed to, I very rarely LFG anywhere. I group with folks from the guild or people I know, at least by reputation. The OT>DL>KC>VL player mill doesn't do much to develop competence in any class, and I'm usually the first one to die due to their lack of skill.
Anyplace that you have to be coffined out of after a wipe, isn't someplace I'm likely to go with a whole group of folks I don't know.
Exp was nerfed, but not that badly. It wasn't a drastic change like FG_nerf_01 was.
