Miami didn't deserve that win, and the next time I see a Miami shithead saying anything about OSU and close games I'll gladly tell him to STFU.

I thought this week had some really good close games, but of course the Longhorns actually pulled out a win in a tough game. I probably would think it was a shitty week if they had lost.

God damn it

You had to pay to watch the game? Are you in one of the places where they will actually "black-out" games in order to spark ticket sales to locals or something? They have done that I think twice here in Austin with Texas games, and from a friend at the local cable company I heard about the amount of complaints since the damned games are ALREADY sold out around a year + in advance.

About this weeks games (that I saw or flipped back and forth between)...

West Virginia vs Miami...
others have been correct in saying that Miami didn't deserve the win. Winslow's catch for 1st down isn't what won the game, it was the bs Pass interference on an uncatchable pass that won the game. Miami lost that game in my eye's and apparently in a lot of the sports anchor's eyes as well. VERY good game to watch though. I loved watching Winslow get his ass handed to him evertime he caught/nearly caught the ball and he STILL acted like he was doing something good for the TEAM. Arrogant ass was only making himself look like a fool (btw, what was the WV safety/corner thinking when he punched him in the facemask? Go for the one spot he DOESN'T have pads...ass or shins...was silly to see). The matchup between these two teams as well as WV and Penn State are two that I always try to watch having grown up with someone who was a director of something (can't remember what) there.

Texas vs Kansas State...
Defense. That's what it was. Defense. Both teams had weaknesses, and both teams exploited them when they could, but they also had to deal with a positive learning curve. Each team noticed what was being exploited and fixed it. The one thing I think that Kansas State said that was kind of funny was that the only person they didn't want in the game (as in who could beat them) was Chance Mock. Okay, you want him out, we'll throw our second string Offensive Line and back-up (rotating) QB at you. Vince Young. If I was Snyder, I would NOT have said Mock. I loved this quote on ESPN "To hear Longhorn fans talk about him, he could be the first quarterback in history to throw a deep ball, sprint downfield and catch it himself". Although he showed that he could run early in the game, they must have forgotten Young's scrambling ability and sheer speed. Hell, even AFTER what looked like breaking his ankle (if you didn't see the slow motion replay) he STILL rushed on K-State. Both teams need some work on the running defense for their next games. Especially Texas as "we" play OU next week.

Texas Tech vs Texas A&M....
Due to medications, I passed out in the 4th quarter...all I remember is Symmons (sp) completes a pass for TD, B.J. Symons completes another pass for 30+ yds, etc... Where the fuck did this arm come from? He has been on the bench learning from other QB's such as Kingsbury last year. He is showing in his Senior year what he can do, and god DAMN he can do it. I know people offed Texas Tech last year as being a "technical school in the middle of nowhere", but look up this QB's statsand compare them with the people who are currently in the Heisman hopeful lists. If he keeps it up in Big 12 games, he should be on there shortly.

Tennessee vs Auburn...
DAMN that was good. I don't like the Vols (wrong color of orange and the wrong UT!!!), but I was "almost"...let me stress "almost"...rooting for them on their last drive. Then, I noticed the little mistakes being made. Claussen (sp) spends too much time focusing on his primary receiver. Learn to go through your rotation of eligible receivers... :( He had plenty of times to go to one wide open receiver, but stuck to the one that would have double or triple coverage just because he never took his eye's off them after the first glance at another receiver. Very glad Auburn got the win. They deserved it in the end. Auburn vs LSU should be a good one to watch if Auburn can keep up the intensity.

Washington vs UCLA...
Always hated UCLA for some unknown reason...same with most of the CA teams for some reason I cannot explain...The way the first half went, I think UCLA was still asleep in their dorms...Then they woke up and played. Two different ball games each half. I personally hate to see that. I would rather have them play the same for 4 quarters. Very nice change though, and made the game more "worth watching" for a fan of neither school.

Michigan vs Iowa....
Wow. I sense some pissed off Wolverines out there. First you get trounced at home one season. Then you go into what could be a season saving game in the same team that trounces you last year out for blood. Then that same team beats you again, although barely. The only problem I saw while flipping to and from the game was an almost TOO urgent feel from Michigan. I think that some of the players were too worried about losing the game before they did. If they had stayed focused and more confident, would the outcome have been different? Too late to answer that one.

Georgia vs Alabama...
Two tough ass teams. Alabama got worn out the week before by another. Georgia was ready to play though. I was goin' for either team in this one, but in the 1st half, it was obvious who "wanted" the win more. Not scoring again in the second half though....that would scare me as a 'Dawg fan.

Purdue vs Illinois...
The first quarter game me the answer to what the rest of the game would be like...rarely switched back to see any more of this one, and the only TD by IL was on a punt return...that seems more like Purdue was finished with them and "moved on" mentally.

Teh Baby Jebus is crying...

My precious Gators scored 17 points on the worst pass defense in the country. We have all kinds of talent everywhere, but we can't manage to score more than MEMPHIS did against this team.

Our AD had BETTER be looking for a new HBC, right fucking now. If he's caught flatfooted at the end of the season (which is gonna be in November) when the Bull Gators are calling for Zook's head, it's his ass too.

I'm so totally disgusted with Zook and Zaunbrecher.
