New engine in the works?

I know I'm good at what I do, but I know I'm not the best.
But I guess that on the other hand, I could be like the rest.

And I'm sure it'll still run like complete crap.

Indeed.. I'd much rather be able to select "Just display coloured bounding boxes" (as someone suggested elsewhere..) to avoid toon lag on a raid :) High detailed models are nice when you're selling the screen shots, or cyb0ring in a quiet corner of the world, but I only use SoL models when forced (to sit on a horse)

It better use the exact same amount of resources as the old engine. I, personally, at this point play EQ for the game itself, not to look at the pretty scenery in Jaggedpine Forest. I play with low texture quality and no new models on simply because that isn't what's important to me -- I'd rather be able to run multiple characters on the same machine smoothly, like I can now.

I don't claim to know a lot about how graphics engines work, but I suppose it could be possible to let someone keep using the old engine?

I can't believe I'm the first person to point out that the before picture is in fact the Aviak hut in South Karana...

I'll just be happy if my characters don't walk like oompa loompa's anymore :P
