With Z Mills out, JoePa will settle down on Austin Scott and Mrob. Mrob can move, and the recivers had trained with him over the summer to get use to how he passes. He throws a LOT harder than Mills. So they were being taught to catch with hands first, than in to the chest...because it would bounce out.
Austin Scott ran over 3,800 yards his Sr year in highschool, after breaking his knee the year before. The kid is tough, well endurenced, and can break away fast. Now if he can get in for plays, it would count.
If you watched the games Mills MISSED almost every receiver, they couldnt catch his passes when he did get it to them. JoePa was moving EVERYONE in and out of the game every 2 plays the first 4 games. Not one RB had more than like 10 carries. During the Minny game, Austin Scott had a great first half. The second half......he didnt get a carry once. Why, no fucking clue. 20 carries, for 99 yards in 2 quaters of play. GEE WOULDNT YOU PLAY HIM THE WHOLE GAME?
My out look on Ohio is that they arnt as good as they should be. They have yet to have a team TRY and run on them, and every team they did play passed for around 200+yards and had close games.San Diego State had more yards than Ohio. Bowling Green also had more yards all games their stats sucked ass compared to everyother team besides NW. I like Ohio, but they are playing just to bearly win, not to be a champ.

Anyways. They have lost 3 games. Lost at #8 Nebraska 18-10, #20 Minny 20-14 who has one of the top 4 Offenses, and Boston College 27-14 . Take the first QUARTER of each game out, they win. If they can stop spotting teams 14+ points in the first 5 mins of the game, they can win.
Penn State has a good defense, It could be better. But its a bend dont break. Nebraska ran 72 times out of 78 plays and gained 337 yards, and only scored 18 points.They kept the D on the feild for over 30 mins.
Its the shitty O they have. If they keep giving the ball to Austin Scott, and allow Mrob to play QB more than 5 mins a game. Things will go their way, and they will IMPROVE so much due to the confidence level of actully doing a good job.
