According to your answers, your political philosophy is libertarian.

Libertarian
Libertarians are self-governors in both personal and economic matters. They believe government's only purpose is to protect people from coercion and violence. They value individual responsibility, and tolerate economic and social diversity.

According to your answers, your political philosophy is left-liberal.

Left-Liberal
Left-Liberals prefer self-government in personal matters and central decision-making on economics. They want government to serve the disadvantaged in the name of fairness. Leftists tolerate social diversity, but work for economic equality.

The red dot on the chart shows where you fit on the political map.

Your Personal Self-Government Score is 80%.
Your Economic Self-Government Score is 10%.

Edit: adding the other test results:

1) Green Party 82%
2) Democratic Party 59%
3) Natural Law Party 59%
4) Reform Party 59%
5) Libertarian Party 47%
6) Constitution Party 29%
7) Republican Party 18%

It says I'm a left liberal.. but that's farther from the truth than I can imagine.

It's also a weee bit slanted.. notice the disparity between liberals and conservative on the poll results?

There's a second test which gives slightly more detailed results, hence 2 links.

Tests like this can be kind of interesting to see where people lie, but of course are dubious giving a complete picture since the numbers or questions are very limited and a yes/no/maybe type response is pretty broad.

With that caveat thrown out :), this is how I scored.

First test, very top of the chart (ie max libertarian).

Your Personal Self-Government Score is 100%.
Your Economic Self-Government Score is 100%.

On the second test

1) Libertarian Party 96%
2) Constitution Party 67%
3) Republican Party 46%
4) Reform Party 42%
5) Democratic Party 29%
6) Green Party 25%
7) Natural Law Party 13%

I end up as a Libertarian with right leanings.
Your Personal Self-Government Score is 70%.
Your Economic Self-Government Score is 80%.

1) Libertarian Party 61%
2) Green Party 61%
3) Reform Party 61%
4) Constitution Party 61%
5) Democratic Party 56%
6) Natural Law Party 50%
7) Republican Party 44%

The first link is fairly simplistic, but at the same time I look at some of the questions on the second and think "OK whose national perspective should I answer with here?", especially on issues like firearms: I would increase regulations in some states (from my outsider's understanding) yet I would repeal some of the Canadian regulations (which I am familiar with). The same goes fordrug laws, education and health spending, resource and environmental regulations and several other issues. A Canadian would see me as a harder line conservative, yet by American standards I am more of a centralist.

I think it would be interesting to see with the "multi-national" population on this board where everyone would end up, on a more comprehensive, completely non-nationalistic test. I have some general idea on where a lot of people would fall but I imagine there would some surprises.

I vote for no party that claims that they are going to become the number 1 party in america. After I read that I more or less ignored the rest of the stuff on their page. =p

edit: and am I the only republican that posts here? o.o
