Geez welcome once again to the new "Clueless as Cartalas Award" winner. Pils has yet to tell a single lie in this thread, but you are throwing baseless accusations without proof.
Hi I am Kylere. Since I stopped smoking I've become even more stupid (if that was possible), and don't understand anything not posted by me or my buttbuddies.

Did I ever say Pils has said lies? No, I said thanks to him this thread is turning into a book of him changing his minds based on people's BS comments.

As I said earlier, go to Edmunds and then test drive the fucking cars. Is that so hard?
I am giving some hardcore consideration to buying this, any one have any thoughts on it?
It's a nice car, I was impressed with the cornering abilities etc. But don't listen to me or anyone else, check out Edmunds and see what they say.

Why would I ask people what there thoughts and opinions are on it if I didnt want to listen to them? Did you miss the fact that the link is from edmunds?

No I didn't miss it, but nobody can tell you what car is right for you. Only way to do that is research the GOOD places and test drive it yourself. One person's hell can be another person's heaven, just look at all the people who drive trucks.

A perfect example is the thread about Saturns in the other forum: A few person hated them, some loved themand some had some stories about putting insane milage on them without any problems at all.

I can't say this enough: Test drive the damn cars and do it more than just around the parking lot.

HIJACK: To avoid starting another thread, I will hijack this one. I am as of today in the market for a mid size 4 door in the same price range. I favor 4 doors over coupes in almost every way save speed. But, I am not that interested in speed, plus a lot of 4 doors are getting better too. Anyway, I hadn't really put much thought to it until my car got fucked up today, so any ideas would be appreciated. I really don't care if it is used or not, I am in college and probably don't need to be sporting anything too nice. I will, however, list the cars I don't want.

Hyundai'
Saturn's
Ford (while a good company, not known for midsize)
Chevy (read above)
Volvo's (sadly ironic eh)

Other than that I am open to anything. I just

No Kia's either...my research showed them to be like Hyundai's.

And Kelshra you said I was telling half-truths, I have not. I was going to buy a car in 12-18 months...I didn't know I had $20,000 in bonds I didn't know about. The person who had bought the bonds for me as a kid said they preferred I get the Tiburon....that's why I said it was a good deal, I was going to buy whatever would make them happiest.

But my uncle did research on the Tiburon and came up with a definate no, and then that chick at the bar closed it for me.

Never once did I lie or tell a half-truth. I did however change my mind.

Right now it's between the SRT4 and Eclipse GS. The Eclipse has a generous lead style wise (although the Tiby was better looking then either). And is probablymore likely to last 7+ years because I don't hear good about the longevity of turbos, and zamtuk said it wouldn't even warm up for use anyway.

The WRX and Celica just...they are too much money for what I need it for. They are about $27k with the base options I want.

I checked insurance on both eclimpse and SRT4, and Boogahz was right...it's mainly based on collission repair costs not really "sports car fees" because the eclipse was $544/6mo and so was the SRT4. Even though the SRT4 can outrun a V8 mustang..and the Eclipse is just moderate power.

That's why I listen to people here and change my mind on things, because a lot of these people have intelligent things to say. Not because I'm fickle....but because they know shit that I do not.

Oh yeah, I forgot Kia existed. On that topic, no Kia's, Daewoo's, or Suzuki's. For that matter any car whose brand new price does not exceed 10k

Zam: What do you want? Reliability, fun, style, performance?

If you want a car that will function solidly for a long time, buy a Camry or an Accord.

Really any of the above. But, just for kicks, nothing too weak. It's apparent I may need speed to avoid assholes. I was thinking of the Sentra, but really the only model that appeals to me is the Spec-V. I am more than likely getting a low mile used car. Nothing out really excites me that carries a tag under 30k. I was thinking like a 98 Jetta (the old bodystyles are great for reliability, fun, etc.) Perhaps even a Jeep. But, as for my main concern I would say reliability.

Reading comprehension? I practically did a direct quote you fucktard.

Anyway....I went to the Dodge dealership today...the balance has swayed and some.

They were all out of SRT-4's so I couldn't check one out, so are the next 2 closest dealers....apparently they are a hot item. So I just talked to the sales guy a bit...then I asked him to show me the best Neon, knowing it's essentially a neon with a turbo, air scoop, bigger spoiler and different front seats. Well and suspension and better stereo etc..but that's hard to tell the difference from looking.

Anyway, the SRT-4 is a four door, it's got a decent size back seat and trucnk, keyless entry, better stereo, the dash is nicer, etc....

They won't give me cash back...the SRT-4 wasn't intended to list seperately, it doesn't get cash back at all...I guess since they sell so fast they don't need incentive. Anyway they were still offerning 0% apr for 5 years...so I'll just pay half and pay all my credit cards to zero balances..that way it's like I say $100-$150/mo on interest...I'll end up saving some cash that way.

I'll still get my family discount but I didn't have the discount number on me. I think it's like $500 over factory invoice...no negotiating needed. And then there is a supossed bonus discount right now I would have to ask about..$1,000 extra off...it's part of the family discount too but I think just for a limited time.

Basically even just looking at the Neon SXT swayed me away fromt he Mitsubishi Eclipse GS...and the SRT-4 will have a few additional perks.

Now I just have to wait for my bonds to mature next month....well and tomarrow I might drive to indiana for a test drive...I'm not sure because well...I know it has good handling and power...I've read lots of reviews and such, and well frankly even base neon handling is atleast comparable to the eclipse.

I highly doubt I will change my mind again....the next post you see from me about my car search should be a picture of me standing next to it in my driveway.

Did I ever say Pils has said lies? No, I said thanks to him this thread is turning into a book of him changing his minds based on people's BS comments.
Now go on crying a river about your sad pathetic life, and write another novel about yourself in every post on the board. Nobody gives a shit about you, your sad life, your ignorance when it comes to women etc. Least of all me.

You know, you really should just buy the ebay car that was linked not while ago. Seems to fit you perfectly.[/quote]

Well if you didn't mean to say I tell half truths....then you shouldn't have typed it, I guess it's your lack of communication skills that caused me to post.

BTW you just called peoples posts in this thread "BS comments" I'm sure they appreciate your opinion...as for me, I do not...I consider you an egotistical asshole who likes to post under a female name. And in order to fully inflate your own ego, you sit here and flame people without a real cause.

You are a very sad individual. I think you should end the sadness, a razor blade to the wrist might be nice, or if your afraid of blood, maybe if you took all your ridlin and prozac at once it would do the trick. Good luck.

Does it look like I care about wether they appreciate it or not? No?

Actually I've never tried to hide the fact that I am male. I use a female name here because it is the char I play(ed) in game, since I consider males in robes to look ridiculous.
You are a very sad individual.
Now now little boy, I'm not the one who posts novels about my personal life on every thread because no women in RL wants to look at me twice.

Zam: I would say that you should never, ever, get a jeep, but then, I hate the fucking things, so my opinion is probably biased on that.

If you're looking for a reliable, midsize 4 door, stick with the accord or the camry. If you want something a little more fun and you're willing to go a little older, maybe consider looking up a taurus SHO. I know you said that you didn't want a ford, but hey, i'm ignoring that.

It is now up between a Camry, Maxima (used of course), or a late 90's Infiniti G20. My parents always drove an Infiniti, so I grew up with them and absolutely love them. I am still on the look, haven't had too much time to do much research, but I have plenty of time for that I suppose.

I own a 1999 Honda Prelude type SH, paid 16k, came stock cloth, moonroof, cd changer, 5 speed manual, 200 stock horsepower, with small upgrade had 200 torque also. I've since upgraded body, engine, etc.

here's a couple pics of the body kit, hood etc I used. Pics taken from http://www.wingswest.com great place to find nice body kits...just don't buy em from there. Check http://www.racerwheel.com for wholesale parts, very cheap.

Obviously you don't give a rat's ass about much else besides style and power. Go ahead and buy a Dodge/Chrysler. They set the benchmark for negative ratings by Consumer Reports.

When you come back again in less than 2 years making a 10 paragraph rant about how much ass your car sucked, don't expect us to do anything more than point our fingers at you and laugh.

Tenuvil,
Friend of mine bought a G35 Coupe about a month ago and is totally in love with it.. must admit, after driving it so am I. It has the power, the luxuries and the comfort that anyone could dream of. Plus it is sleek looking. Only thing I am not a fan of on it is the front, I like the 350Z front better (basicly same car, slightly smaller, minor differences, not as luxurious).

Definitely a car worth looking into. Oh and I am 6'1 and I was in the back seat once. I had enough room for my legs (I got long legs heh), but my head reached the ceiling which would be uncomfortable on long drives.

I plan to buy that car when I graduate. I am going for something used atm i believe. Probably a late 90's Infiniti, Nissan, or Toyota.

Currently I am supporting terrorism in a new Chevy Trailblazer. :D

Zamtuk, The Prelude would have to be used, I don't think they are in production anymore. The same girl that was bitching about her Hyundai said her boyfriend has a prelude and she loves it.

Truant, did you read my quote? I'm not going to bother checking to see if she edited her post, but she specifically stated I told half truths.

Kelgar, I don't think Dodge has that much of a bad rep, I know the Neon has a better reputation then the Tiburon in the reliability department. And the SRT-4 was decided on for more then the looks, I dislike it's looks actually because it reminds me of a Neon. The power turned me off abit because I thought it would be high insurance(and low MPG) and I wouldn't use the power much. But the insurance and MPG were proved false. I looked at the braking and handling that were used to balance out the power...and I would enjoy using those. The backseat and trunk were good size, and it had more base features like remote keyless entry, better stock radio, and such. That's what made it take the edge over the eclipse, not the power or looks...I like the eclipse looks better, and I would have been fine with that engine size. But it lacked base features and the trunk/backseat were too small.

I don't drive much locally but it's not uncommon for me to head to Detroit every 2 months with some good size luggage etc especially if I'm going camping (I usually pack extra supplies in case people didn't plan well), And I take my turns being desgnated driver, so a decent back seat was a requirement I hadn't thought of until I saw the tiny eclipse rear seat IRL.

Basically I'm picking the SRT-4 IN SPITE OF it's power and appearance...because the rest of the car seems more practical. I mean that much power isn't a turn-off, but it's not a turn on...I won't use it. I only wanted 170'ish. And I'm sure you agre with me in the looks department. I've had several people already tell me they dislike the looks so much because of it's relation to a neon that they would refuse to buy the car. I mean shit, for a while I was actually building in the cost of a new front bumper in to the cost of the car...just because I hate the looks so bad, but now I think I can do without it. Kinda grew on me.
