New Matrix Trailer
This is gonna be GOOD.
Akaran of Mistmoore, formerly Akaran of Veeshan
I know I'm good at what I do, but I know I'm not the best.
But I guess that on the other hand, I could be like the rest.

Neo is going to come out as the big beast on this one..
Anyone else think that the matrix isn't going to fall - but just be mainted under (possibly) different ownership? Or even better, if he negotiates with the machines a peace treaty?

Think the rules would be a tad bit different with this treaty, if they work one out.
I do know that WB is planning a Matrix MMORPG for release in the next couple years.. so that's a warning bell right there.

On the animatrix, there was an attempt by the machines at first for a peace treaty, but the humans reacted in a hostile manner resulting in the destruction that followed. Holy gnosis psychosis this movie is going to ear screw me. Anyone thought of the gnostic backgrounds of the movie and thought of the possibility that they could destroy the machines in the "real world" only to find out it's another matrix and a whole new system of control.............?

Balls.

Yes, listen to Zamtuk. This one is going to be a LOT of the "real world" because that's where the war is going to take place, but.....that's where the war is going to take place, so it won't be so dull for those of you who did not enjoy it in the last movie. As for MYSELF, I am looking forward to seeing the world that Neo is trapped in, between the two worlds we know of already.
Balls.
What makes you think he's trapped in another world? I haven't seen anything that I'd take as an indication of this, but am curious to hear your theory.Metaphantasus wrote:As for MYSELF, I am looking forward to seeing the world that Neo is trapped in, between the two worlds we know of already.

Wow. Downloaded and watched the three TV spots plus the theater trailer. In Zion or not, I am definitely looking forward to Revolutions. The new actor playing the Oracle doesn't look too bad either.
My friends and I bounced the Matrix within a Matrix idea around last year or the year before, I forget which. We had some pretty good points backing it up, but I'd have to go through and watch the original and probably Reloaded again. Catch me next week after class; supposedly we're watching The Matrix for college credit!

Also playing the game gives you a lot of extra background to the story line. The Auracle tells you in the game that when Neo enters that room to speak to the Architect he makes contact with the source (of the matrix.) Touching the source disconnects his conscious from both realms and leaves it stuck somewhere in between. This is why he had the capability to shut down those sentinels at the end of the movie. I can't wait to see his journey through that surrealistic dream type world with that little girl, I'mma go check out what it says on the wall. PEACE!

Major Revolutions spoiler.
IE: the entire damn thing.

Weather this is accurate or not, I don't know. Looks like it... just hope that doesn't end like it does.

I don't think it is... it doesn't show that neo meets Bane/Smith before he loses his eyes.
I'm gonna be mightily pisse dif it does end like that. ><

The Matrix was great. New idea, new special effects, great movie.
The next one wasn't that great. We'd seen the story already, we didn't give a rats ass about an overweight Morpheus pretending to be Buddy Jesus. People with RS232 ports all over their body having sex is not attractive.
I'm sure the newest movie will be a good view - but I don't have much faith in the story aspect of it.
