MNF Raiders @ Broncos ?

. Should be a great game regaurdless. Broncos are looking really good. The Raiders Barely squeezed by the ~cough~ Bengals. I think the Raiders will be up for the challenge , but then again the Broncs have a Monday night to prove they are not a fluke this year.

Once again, expect a playoff atmosphere in Denver. A primetime win against the Raiders will be essential for a sucessful season.

Can the Broncos end the primetime curse of last year where they were 0-4 on Sunday night/Monday?

Can Plummer finally prove himself as a top tier QB?

Can Clinton Portis finally have success against the Raiders run D?

And.... can the Denver D find a way to pressure Gannon, who tore up Denvers secondary last year?

This is all way to eerily similar to last year's first matchup between a 6-2 Denver team and a 4-4 Oakland team that turned around the seasons for both teams.

No offense Phugg but the Broncos have looked far from good this year. Plummer is almost a complete bust. I would rather have Griese back. Portis is their only real weapon until Plummer figures out that the pointy leather thing is supposed to be thrown to people that match his uniform. Raiders aren't stupid. They will stack the line with 8 guys and laugh at Plummer as he tries to win it for the Broncos. Gannon and the old boys always take a few games to shake the rust off from the time off since last season.

That being said I really hope my favorite team, the broncos, beat those piece of shit raiders!!

I wouldn' be so sure about Plummer being a bust. Ask me again in Week 9. Shanahan's system is very complex and even dumbed-down plays for Plummer's benefit are difficult.

I think Jake will be fine....he will need to be!

Also, I really don't think the Raiders can handle Portis this time around.

This was the hardest pick of the fantasy games imho.. this one can go either way. My brain tells me Denver will win, but I got this gut feeling that Raiders will do a repeat of last year...

I could care less about these teams but I need Charlie Gardner to stay under 130 total yards or get 1TD and less than 70 yards.

That's funny Canelek, I was about to say that your Lelie prediction was so far off base that I'd bet you 20k VVs that he wouldn't have more than 125 yards or 1 TD, but I ended up leaving work before I posted it. Glad I didn't now. =P

LOL, Sylvus. I am really bad with predictions! I just based that on him not having much action to date. This kid is for real! :D Look for great things from Lelie! :D :D

Yeah, I was trying to pick him up in a mid-round in my ffl, but someone actually got him like 2 picks before it was my turn and I was going to get him. Glad to see he's working out. =)

Well, unless you are a Denver fan, it was a hard call for any FFL. He was a rookie that just started to come in to his own late 2002.

Plus, when one thinks of rookies and Denver, it has been RBs for the last several years! :D

BTW: Not too shabby having Mike Anderson around since Portis is Questionable for the 2nd half(aggravated sterum bruise).

What a depressing game. Not so much that the Raiders are losing but that they are losing so badly. Not an exciting game at all. Last year Gannon led my FF team to victory time and again. This year I had a bad feeling about him so I chose someone else.

I'm just glad they held jerry rice to as few yards as possible, I think I can pull a come-back victory in FF :D

Jerry Rice and Denver go way back. I think it was Denver that cracked his knee. He hasn't been the same since.

Plummer had a better game than I expected. At least he limited his mistakes. He still only threw for 147 yds though.

Yeah, Plummer played a very good game. He also was playing great last week until he seperated his shoulder. A bust is about the last thing he's been so far.

He got hit pretty good once though.. I found it hillarious that the Broncos players got all pissy about it.
