Kaelina, I read his post. I understood his point, I misspelled his name...the name of a guy whom I don't really give a shit about.

Besides, I'm Dyslexic..check Lalanea's thread about "there is still hope for some of you". I posted that fact in that thread and it's dated before that post. Dyslexics can read and function fine because of that feature of the human mind. But we will reverse numbers in math....or in the case of imaginary names...we still reverse letters.

You can also read my recent post to Fesuni stating if your best flame is about a typo or grammatical error. Don't bother. It's the weakest sort of flame, and noone is in the corner cheering you on for your brilliant observation of my misspelling.

In otherwords Kaelina, noone gives a fuck.

1. Do you think my dyslexia goes away when I proof read?

2. Do you think that dudes name will jump out at me as a clear misspelling even if it did?

3. Why would someone proof read before they post here? Are we in 10th grade english class?

1.) Then why aren't all your words scrambled, just random ones?

2.) Mispelling someone's name is just fucking rude. Especially when they posted a mere few lines above you.

3.) I glance over my shit before I post it to keep my retarded typos to a minimum. It's not fucking difficult, and it's a courtesy to the people who might read it.

Speaking of 10th grade, I'll bet you didn't have any problems churning out those 5000 word essays, did you?

"You're" is conversational, but generally acceptable on the 'net as it's informal, but we're being nazis, so it should be expanded. Also note the semi-colon.

"wrong" should not be used here, it generally has a moral aspect, and "incorrectly" reads better.

I put the grammatical errors in that second post on purpose though so....he was just wasting his time.

Now to Kaelina...

1. Because I've been dealing with it since I could read, which started at age 5. Doesn't matter what I see, I know how to spell the word, I'm dyslexic not retarded. Now I will let maybe 1-2 reverses slip per post, but not that many. I didn't know how to spell the guys name...so the dyslexia will always have a field day with something like that.

2. Wow, I was rude to a guy who was rude to me Kaelina? OMG what shall I ever do? Do you think I should write the fucker a formal apology?

3. Noone shows me courtesy here so I don't really care. Anyway, internet posts are to get points across, not to be submitted before an editor. I don't go using terms like U, R, Any1, or PLZ....but I'm certainly not going to proof read my shit so anal rententive grammar nazi bitches like you will have a nicer day. Now you can correct me all you want, but I certaintly don't care, and noone else thinks it's cute or funny either, so it's really just you being an anal retentive bitch. But maybe that's the on-line persona your trying to project, hey..to each his own right?

I'm still laughing that this went from two words, to you calling me an "anal rententive grammar nazi bitch." Even your fucking insults are long-winded.

No, you certainly don't use idiotic shortened words like 'ur' and 'plz'. My brain cells thank you for that. And thank you for pointing out that special feature of your posts, god knows I would have never noticed or appreciated it otherwise. =p

No, I replied to you.

Then I replied to Zygar's pic.

Then after I hit post and the message came up I saw the word "hehe" and I felt like I might be able to use it to make a point.

And actually I would love it if they beat children who use U, R, Any1, and PLZ. We had this one guy in CT for awhile....oh man...I needed a secret code ring to figure out what the fuck he was saying. 100 VV's to the person who knows the member I'm talking about.

No, but it would make some of us feel better if they were beaten.

As for edit, yeah...but if I put it in the same post someone would say I only made one point and it took so many sentences blah blah blah even though it was two points. I can't win no matter what I do so I really don't care.

Oh and the answer Slab is incorrect. If slab talked like that it must have been slab 1-26..or 28-32....I only knew slab 27, he talked normal.

The contest is still on...someone from CT will know who it is.

Pils has a very valid point regarding that. My boss sends me IMs with phrases like 'ur' and 'plz', and a few other coworkers have actually said 'werd' in IMs and emails. It's not *as* bad on a message board, but it's hard to take someone seriously in a working environment when they type like that. ><

I once got an email from maybe 3rd in command of a multi-million dollar company...all in caps with shortcuts taken. I was not impressed.

It's hard to take someone seriously when they type like that, I always feel like I'm talking to someone mentally impaired.

And for Fesuni...no it wasn't Falala ;-)

I'll end the quiz now, it was Cloudancer. I usually understand what someone is going to say, even with the shortcuts, but his were just...wow. It wasn't just the shortcuts either, it was the flow and his choice of words. He was a true artist....or something.

I think his best post was the "U NO THINK I HUMAN" post. I wish I had that one on file somewhere. And yes, english was his first language.

thank god for that link because a little lower in there it says this :

v. tr.
To name or write in order the letters constituting (a word or part of a word).
To constitute the letters of (a word): These letters spell animal.
To add up to; signify: Their unwise investment could spell financial ruin.

You're is simply a contraction of 'you are'.
Nowhere are contractions considered unacceptable.

Neither is technically incorrect, but I don't think too many editors would agree that the usage is acceptable.

Anyway, the whole point was the illustration that few here are technically proficient as editors and people should just leave off with all the grammar nazi shite.
